Exidy Mousetrap - I want to put a switcher in it.. how? help needed

Blowing fuses in a new Mousetrap I just picked up, power supply was repaired and hacked, I have seen others have put switchers in there, I think that will solve my problem, can anyone help me with this, tried to read the schematics, not smart enough to figure it out.....any help is appreciated.....thanks in advance...

Thanks for the assist, however, those pinouts dont seem to be refernecing the power supply if you remove it, or, I am not smart, which is highly likely, I pm'd Exidy for a how to since I know he has done it...if I get it I will post...otherwise, anybody have an idea, the schematics are not easy to read and my connectors in the cab are not all labled.

please pass on any info you get

Well, I figured out that for sure here there are two "power supplys" one called a "5v Supply" in the schematics, and then the power supply pcb which generates the wierd 12v hi-lo voltages. My problem is the Condor suplly labled "output 5vdc at 6.0 a". Thus a switcher that produces a 5v line should be good. Problem for me is the only switcher I have says its 5v at 7 amps, will the 7a be a problem there?

A photo of the 5v supply is attched

Anybody have an answer for this by chance? Really just need to know if I can use a switcher for the +5v at 7 amp, vs the original supply at +5v at 6amp....
