Exidy Mouse Trap (Works, no sound) Albany NY area $950

Overall good condition with normal wear and tear. Game is complete and working. There is no sound in the game. I don't really want to part with it because it was hard to find, but I am moving and I am need to thin down. $950 cash buys it. Easy pick up from my garage . Located about 30 minutes north of Albany New York. P.m. me if interested. Thanks

Hate to bump this, but if whoever purchased this figures out the sound issue, please let me know what the issue is. Currently have a board with no sound. Seems common.

I was the one that bought it, paid the full $950, had to have it because it's one of my grail games. I fixed the sound! Also filmed the restore process, check it out here:

congrats on the fix and thanks for documenting your issue. time to break my board back out and investigate again.

two quick comments that maybe you weren't aware of.
The switching power supply is not original. Everything, including PS, was mounted on the tray so no need to access bottom of cabinet.

Don't believe your joystick is original. picture of mine when I first picked it up. should be a wico with either red or blue ball top.
>>edit>>correction it is a midway joystick. still didn't look 100% correct to me but I could be wrong.

Yeah I was starting to suspect that about the power supply, someone had just emailed me about it as well. Didn't know about the joystick though. This joystick works well though, it actually feels very much like the joystick on my dedicated Jr Pacman. It's odd though, blue is the last color I would have expected the stock joystick to be, because there isn't any blue on the cabinet or bezel art.

For your audio issue you can try some of the same stuff I tested on my board, maybe that would save you some time. Mine ended up being a silly fix but in your case maybe one of those multiplexer chips or amps is indeed dead on yours.

EDIT: Does your Mouse Trap have a monitor shroud behind the bezel? I ended up adding one on mine because it looked weird without it, you could see all the monitor wires and such, so I put one in there to make it cleaner.
