I happened to come across a Exidy Crush Roller, which I had never played before, but remember Playing Make Trax BITD.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any difference between the PCBs, and if anyone ever did a freeplay hack for either/both (if they are the same).

I know that HighScoreSaves has a Turbo hack for it (Make Trax). I was wondering if it would work on Crush Roller.

Nice score buddy, great looking cabinet and fun game...

haha...

I always thought the game kinda sucked but after playing it a bunch its pretty fun

pretty hard so maybe thats why people dont get into it so much

I've been thinking about adding the game to the BitKit because it runs on Pac hardware. My first exposure to the game was on the 60-in-1. I wasn't impressed at the time, but after playing some more it is starting to grow on me.

I'm always partial to Make Trax as it's the one I played as a kid...and the artwork package is ridiculously gorgeous. That'd be a good BitKit addition, Crafty.

There is that factor, for certain. My first Exidy cab and and a Cabaret no less. Though it seems in general Make Trax/Crush Roller gets little love from the KLOV Community, it is a fun, challenging game.

But all of this is a digression from my original question.

There is a Turbo Hack. There is a freeplay dipswitch but all it does is set the credit count to 99 and it then stays on the "press one or two player" screen.

I was wondering if anyone has done a proper freeplay hack that still tiles through the attract screens.

Still, I mused that if I ever decided to convert it, what would be extra coo,l would be to convert it to Venture.

like the game play it on the 60 in 1

Would be a keeper if a cabaret came up near me.

Try hitting up Alpha-Tron. He seems to have a Make Trax excess. lol

Seriously though, I hummed and hawed a bit about this purchase. I did have to do a few hours of minor repairs when I got it home, and while the cab looks pretty good at first glance, it has taken a bit of shit and abuse... It is missing it's coin door, missing all keys, had no power cord, and it has taken a good hit from the right side/back at some point, enough to split the MDF on the staples and separate it a bit. it will definitely need body work at some point.

Also the monitor is a bit off and will need some of the basics done to it (cap replacement ), not to mention it has a bit of a swell to one side and the horizontal hold is cranked in one direction to keep the picture stable.

Definitely a keeper.

don't forget "pac and paint"

What about the boards? Are they identical but just stamped differently? Mine says "Crush Roller" on it

our local arcade has make trax in the wms cocktail style.
didn't get much love in the arcade, think it is in storage now.

i have watched people play it at high level, but i personally couldn't get into it beyond dinking around on the first maze for fun.
