Ex NBA player a pinball wizard..

I just found TOPcast pinball podcast about a week ago, and today I listened to an episode with an interview with him. TOPcast #9.

I saw him once on campus at UW way back when, and I was eye level with his arm pit... say him again at the Seattle show 2 years ago. Didn't talk to him, other than saying "Go Huskies" in passing.

he must need custom legs to match his height.

No, he keeps everything at a standard height. He competes in the international pin events and the machines used at each event have to be set the exact same way for every player.

When playing he is hunched over so far that it looks uncomfortable, but it doesn't seem to affect his play much. At last year's Seattle Pin show I was a score keeper for the tournament and he played one round during my time keeping score. His skills were impressive, he amassed a score easily 20x higher than the next highest score I recorded...

Man! I didn't realize that they couldn't adjust the height in a competition.

I don't really understand this statement.

Pinball height is only adjustable by an inch or two anyway, and once you factor in the trim the adjustment could be substantially less. There are a few exceptions to the height restrictions, but they usually go the other way in order to allow kids to play.

I know you can adjust a pin, I meant that you can't when competing in a competition.
