eBay # 300431563714 Outrun 2.

Why would you show pictures of a game that isn't working correctly and list that "Everything works good"? I mean....you can see that the monitor is funky. Are there people out there who can look at those pictures and not notice the monitor isn't working???

Geesh...

Oh, the game works just fine. The colors on the monitor are a different story. Outrun 2 monitors are known for taking a shit. Funny thing is the tube goes bad, not the monitor chassis. Damn Sanwa monitors!! Luckly you can get a new monitor for roughly $250-300 for this though!!

This happened to me this past spring when a guy had a Vs. Super Mario for sale locally - went and looked at it - it was a conversion from like Ms. Pac but the cab was total shit and the monitor had a bunch of issues, he let me play with the pots, check connections, I re-seated some of the roms just in case. I'm not a monitor tech but it had too many issues for me to consider - I couldn't get it to brighten up - barely held sync - picture was bowed out of place on one side, the other side had a 1/8" white line blaring down the side. Maybe just a cap kit away from goodness but I wasn't risking it - the cab had water damage - they painted over Ms. Pac a few times, then with a textured paint (had like a rhinoliner feel). LOL

I know the guy through a friend and to his defense he had no arcade game experience at all - his only game. I told him that the asking price was out of line, and that the monitor was not in "Good condition" as stated. He then posted CL like nothing was wrong - and someone did buy it. I think that's a dirty ass move to pull and definitely speaks volumes about the seller.

What pisses me off is that I told him when I saw the rotting cab and solid coating of black funk on the interior that I probably would pass - but then I attempted to help him troubleshoot the monitor for nothing and when i told him it needed a lot of work and he still sold it as "Good condition"

Looks like he took more pictures, but the monitor still looks funky. It looks like it's way too green or yellow. What do you think? Is the monitor bad, or does it just need adjusted?

I saw this posting too on ebay. In my opinion, you should expect the worst and assume that it will need a new monitor tube or a cap kit at the MINIMUM. I thought it was odd as well that the pictures showed that there was OBVIOUSLY something wrong with the monitor, while the description said "works great"...

I should list my former Daytona USA game, and list it as "Working Great!!!" and show the pictures of it burning in my fire pit out back, after it was parted out.
