Everything inverted at once!?

Okay, this is just too bizarre.

It's been about a week since I've played my games. I finally get the AC unit running again and I'm excited to go play some hardcore Virtual On, and then...

When I boot them up, it's like every game that's lined up along the garage door has gone completely inverted. What was red is now green. What was green is now red. Both monitors in Virtual On, the monitor in my Ms Pac Multigame, Dig Dug, all look like they're in a really bad 60s druggie film. My first thought was that it had something to do with magnetism, as I know magnetic fields can cause that sort of discoloration and usually that just needs a degaussing coil... and it is slightly more extreme in certain areas which leads me to believe it may be a similar issue. But aside from that I'm really confused. Did the magnetic field of the earth shift to under the area in front of my garage door!? Why is this just happening now!? Can something THIS BAD be solved with a degaussing coil...?

Without picture, how should we know? When they fixed the AC, did they install a new unit? Run new wiring? Rotate the house? Move the games away from the wall to access electrical panels?

Have you tried degaussing any of them yet?

Sorry, was posting from the Droid, couldn't get a pic...

No to all of the above, sadly. It was just a problem with the thermostat adjustment display after a huge thunderstorm. I'm starting to think, though, that it might have to do with that storm... I had thought it probably wouldn't since they were unplugged but lightning hit a few places nearby, that could have had some magnetic impact perhaps?

It was so evenly spread that I originally doubted it was just magnetic but it does change in some spots when I run a powerful magnet over it so I probably should try degaussing first. Is there anything specific to look for in a degaussing coil?

Here is an example of the worst one...

How it SHOULD look:

How it DOES look:

(the blur is only from the camera... the monitor is actually clear aside from the colors being whack)

Doesn't look like color inversion or degaussing (although that might help). How long has it been since you turned it on? Looks like the colors need adjusting, or one color specifically is weak...

No, it's definitely a degaussing or interference issue. Note on the character portraits on the bottom, third from left is supposed to be pink, is pink, but fifth from left is supposed to be pink but it's ORANGE...

Take a crack at it with a degaussing coil, you never know.

Was there air conditioning repair done?

Could something have been done wrong that resulted in power or leakage on the ground lead in the house wiring that is causing issues?

Maybe multimeter between ground and neutral, and ground and hot on the AC outlet and make sure the power coming in is okay.

Just wanted to post to mention that the degaussing coil worked perfectly, got it from Fry's as was mentioned in another thread and every game has had a spotless monitor for a few weeks now. Thanks again for all the help!
