Ever went to buy a game and it turned out to be one you owned.

I sold my Gyruss awhile back and missed it so I went to look at this one and it was the one. It turned out to be the one I sold :) So needless to say I bought it back for the cool price of 50.00 :) I want to redo the wiring though it looks kind of Mickymouse so if anyone has any restoration links that show some good photos of the wires please let me know....Thankyou...Dave

Why would anyone ever sell their Gyruss? :)

That's such an outstanding game. Glad you got yours back.

Great game. Awesome music. Must own one for my home arcade someday. I need those sounds buzzing around. :)

I sold my Gyruss last year. Missed it so bad I just bought another one.

Dave let me know what pictures you need.

I sold my Karate Champ to a board member who restored it then he traded it away for a Tron. I then traded my Ultimate Mortal Kombat for that Tron he got for the Karate Champ. Then I missed my Karate Champ and bought back the restored Karate Champ from the person who traded away his Tron. So now I have that persons (thanks Steve) Tron and my original Karate Champ which now is restored thanks to Dan :)

WOW now thats a great story. I should have never sold it. I am going to redo the wiring and shoehorn that baby back in there :)

Bought my Baby Pac at CURTS Cash Corner in Portland for $350 approx 1996. Had it for 3-4 years, sold it when we moved to the coast. Started buying (after we added on) games again. Saw one on Craigslist and drove to Portland and picked up my brother and went over the the guys house. And it was the same guy that bought it from me approx. 10 years earlier. And i got it for the same price. LOL. Come to find out that he ended up in prison for dealing crack, and it had been sitting at his parents garage for 9 years. It was still in working condition and he did nothing to it. It was funny when he opened the garage door the first thing he said is don't i know you guys. My brother and i just laughed.

Why did you sell it? I mean that in the best way. Was it a decision off of space, money or both?

I've seen games I've sold come up on Craigslist. Most if them were Jamma crap but one game I restored showed up not long after I sold it to someone and he got a lot more for it than I sold it for. Plus he took credit for restoring it.

Happened to me with an Asteroids cabinet. I got the machine in a bulk buy and it needed the board fixed. I got it all spruced up and sold it to another local guy. He had it about a year then sold it to another local guy who had a few other games and he retained it for a little more than a year as well. Eventually the owner of the machine sold everything he had including the asteroids which now had a dead monitor. I bought all 5 games from him and finally scrapped the asteroids as well as all of his jamma games. I should have just put it of its misery the first time.

When I bought it back he was getting rid of it because the game would keep going out giving him a black screen, and his kids didnt play it anymore. Then he would rap it on the side and the picture would sometimes come back.Well I got it home and the edge connector wasnt making good contact. I cleaned the pcb and the edge connector and then played some games of Gyruss :) HAPPY TIMES

About a year ago I stumbled upon an Asteroids upright I owned 21 years ago, in another state.

It was easily identifiable by dated graffiti that a tech had left inside and some minor repair work that I had done.

Needless to say, I bought it.

21 years ago I bought it for $100 and sold it for $100.

This time I paid $500.

I have started leaving serial numbers in each game and I've got a database setup with it all. That way I can 100% surely say that it was a game I used to own. Just wish I'd sell some to be able to buy them back later.

But it was worth it, right?
