Ever want to make your own REAL, non-emulated/PC engined arcade game?

It started as an open source game console like the SNES which anyone could write games for, and someone had the idea to make it plug into actual arcade cabs. If I understand it right it uses a programmable chip alot like the Arduino and is programmed with C, it's called "Uzebox" and there's a few videos of the console games written for it on youtube, I don't know if there are any post for the JAMMA version yet.

Ok cheers

So will games work as the originals did?

If you program them to! :D It's not an emulator, so you'd have to write everything from scratch to work with the processor it uses.

Looking to make a Lunar Lander II perhaps? ;) Actually I floated the idea on their forums of making it work with vectors, but it'll take people a lot more knowledgeable than me to decide whether it's possible or not.

I looked at this a few months ago, and tried to install the software on my computer so I could develop games, but couldn't ever get it working. Great idea though. I would love to do something like this someday.
