I feel this way lately about golden tee. hard to believe I have never played one and im dying for one.. anyone get like this?

yes i have. i wanted a 720 soooo bad. then i got one and meh. didn't really care for it. it got sold off on ebay. a guy in hawaii bought it and had it shipped over there. he said there was no other 720 machine on the islands. he paid $650 for the auction and $900 to have it crated and shipped. i hope he liked it better than i did.

I guess unless you played 720 as a kid then you might not like it.

I played it daily as a kid to the point I had blisters on my fingers from the joystick. Love 720 and one is the few games I play on a regular basis (my old one anyway)

Games I wanted but never have played was Joust. Got one, won auction, went to pickup saw it was MEH and was glad it had a ram error so I didnt have to buy it.

i think your right. 720 came out after i was out of high school.

Deathsmiles... I have played (and LOVED) Dodonpachi and Ketsui and I know what Cave is capable of, plus I like the theme, so it's not completely unjustified.

Solar Quest, a fellow klovr has one, and it looks awesome, just waiting for him to restore it and play it. Never seen one before.. its very cool

Cosmic Chasm. It's one of my favorite Vectrex games and I'd love to see how the enhanced arcade version plays.

deathsmiles is on xbox and pretty close to the arcade version, plus has mega black label as well!, cheap now to compared to the jp shmups on xbox

DO Run Run,mr do, Pooyan, Snow Brothers,1,2,3

I can distinctly remember one game I had this happen with, and that game was Ikaruga.
Heard so much hype about it that it was actually kind of a letdown when I played it.

Your Golden Tee lust is a healthy one, I don't think it will disappoint. I played the older versions in MAME (this might be a good option for you) and loved them so much I wound up buying a GT Fore! machine. I've had it for a few years and it still gets a lot of play.

We do count MAME stuff that we've played?! Cool.

Haunted Castle ~ Just for the sake of it's Castlevania-ness

Red Donkey Kong - I know it's the same game, but I hear it plays WAYY better in red.

Radar Scope - I fired this up a couple years ago on MAME and got addicted. (I've got 80% of the parts for this)

Ghostbusters 3-player. Game isn't great, but I'd pay good money for one regardless.

There's more, but I'm done. lol

Correction, 360. And I haven't the money for a 360. Especially after blowing $450 on another rare shmup and promptly frying the main board :(

I'd rather have a board anyway. You know that feeling, right?

I actually didn't care much for the arcade version. However since the Vectrex version was the only one I knew as a kid (and loved) that may have something to do with my not liking the arcade version.
