Hello, looking for any information on this cocktail table I just picked up. It has Arkanoid revenge of doh installed, playing on a 19" WG monitor (K7000 maybe?).
At first glance I figured the whole cabinet was home made, judging by the top. After opening it up, I see that there is a serial plate reading "made in Canada, Dayma industries inc Leathorne Street, London, Ontario"??
Obviously the granite style veneer has been recently added, but other than that, judging by dirt and wear this thing has probably been around since the '80's.
The spinners and control panels seem original, the opening for the coin door seems like a williams size one, and holes line up.
The layout when playing seems so weird as the controls and monitor are not centered (due to the space left for the coin door).

Any information would be great, don't really know what to bother doing with it.

Thanks

I know one thing, it sure is ugly

Not much help, but it almost looks like someone's MAME project with a new laminate top installed. Just a guess, but maybe "Dayma Industries" created these as a cheap custom cabinet alternative for conversion kits or something. Does it power up?
Arkanoid Rocks btw! :D

Yes, powers up and plays great. But it sure is ugly. I'm a symmetry freak for some reason, it bothers me that you don't have a equal space on either side of the screen. Not to mention you are sort of pushed over to one side as you play.
It has a coin tray compartment at the very bottom (you can see the door panel/lock in the pic).
I'm sure this thing has been around way longer than mame and has probably been operated on location. You're probably right, Dayma might be a company that made conversion cabinets or something.

Thanks
