I'm just about to head out to pick up a Two Tigers in a Tron cab that I first looked at but didn't buy last march. I found my old emails to the seller and contacted him again after realizing how much work it would take to do the woodwork needed on the Tron cab I recently bought.

He said that it was still available, but the 'screen' doesn't come on now. Sounds like a discount for me! It plays blind, so probably an easy fix. I went to program the address into my nav and found that it was still there!

Anyone else have a story about passing on a purchase, then ending up buying it later on? I'm sure someone can beat my 11 month gap.

There have been a few. I finally bought a Pole Position cockpit over 2 years after it was initially offered.

Yup, just recently in fact.

A member offered up a game this summer that I was interested in, but the price was too high for me (especially with me having to rent a truck, etc... to get it). After 6-8 months he needed it gone and gave me a good price with delivery included so I jumped on it.

I was bidding on an Road Riot 4WD in a Robotron cabinet(for my JROK board) at an auction on April 18, 2009, another guy was bidding on it too, so when it went over $100, I bailed on it.

On October 10, 2009, I see the game on Craigslist for $100 (I think, ad said 2 games - $200), emailed them twice about it and never got a response.

I go to auction here on November 28, 2009 and there it is, so I bid on it again and won it for $75.

11 month gap still safe.... :)

I have done it a few times. The price just wasn't right and sometimes a year or more later I get contacted and end up buying. Did that with my house too. It was actually the first one I looked at and finally about 3 months later ending up going back and buying.

Also quite a few games I have passed on that after going through 3 or more owners I end up getting.

I went to check out a High Speed 2 The Getaway on route in a laundromat. Long story short, it was a little rough for the price, and walked away from the deal, which was fine as I grabbed a Who?Dunnit the next day.Fast forward a few months, I felt bad for the game and wanted to rescue it, so I contacted the OP to see if he still had it. He dropped his price a bit and I took it home. Even better, I have a line on a few more pins through this OP, so it was a win-win...

I sat on a Tales from the Crypt pinball for a year and a half before going to grab it. I picked up an Ultracade and the guy had 2 other games and the pinball. I sold the Ultracade about 6 months later and picked up Rush 2049 and Ms Pacman/Galaga but had to pass on the pinball. I found out he sold it so another guy and that guy didn't do anything with it so I got it from him. I'm glad I got it, the price was right.
