i woke up this morning after having my first arcade/klov related dream.
I was at the house i grew up in as a kid and kjeffery (who i've never met) came to my house to get an old B/W game from me.
He was in a compact car and brought his wife. She was buying all kinds of yard sale type stuff from my wife while kjeffery and I were looking at games. He told me what was wrong with the sound on this game that he wanted, then he fixed it.
He and his wife just kept loading up things in the small car and it never seemed to get full. kind of like the clown car at the circus. I just kept finding more and more games in my garage that i didn't even realize that i had and he kept buying them and loading them in that car.
He said he had to run up to stutrac's place in new england and do some trading with him, so he had to get going.
Then the guy that services my x-ray processor at my office showed up to cut some tree stumps out of my yard (no clue what that was all about).

I'm not sure what any of this meant, but i was laughing about it most of the morning.
No i wasn't drinking last night, no exotic foods before bed, just a regular night.

So if any of you have had any arcade dreams, let's hear them.

No arcades, but I have a recurring dream where I find a whole slew of old Atari games at different thrift stores.

Different games, different thrifts. Also these games don't exist! The are always some weird never before seen 3rd party games..

Wish it were arcades..

BAck in the 80's when I was at an arcade contest in Los Angeles, I had a dream where I was the main character in Congo Bongo climbing up the mountain in the first screen of the game.
I remember it like it was yesterday!

Funny I was just thinking last night about posting a question like this. I have a sort of recurring dream where I'll be in an arcade back in the day will all the cool old games, but somehow I know something isn't right - like I'm out of place and out of time. But sometimes the games are working but they're all rusty and broken down looking.

Another recurring one is that I'll "remember" some old gaming console that's in the closet or something and I'll break it out and it will be all bad ass. But it's something that never existed although in the dream it seems right as rain like it's maybe a Vectrex or something.

Mine is pretty basic (and obvious ;) )....I have that dream wherein somehow, someway, I'm back in time around 1981 or so at what was my favorite arcade. Sometimes it's even with the cognizance that I have actually gone back in time so I know how precious seeing all of these machines is...unlike when we were actually living that moment it time, blissfully unaware that these wonderful times would someday disappear. It's so easy to not realize how good things are when you're actually in the middle such a moment.

But then again, how could I have ever imagined that I'd have my own personal arcade in my garage someday, either? :D

no, only nightmares. lol Don, are you allowed to write yourself scrips? :D

I will have to get back on the arcade dream. However I did have a dream recently involving another Hobby.
I had a dream my buddy modified my pt cruiser GT , to be rwd, with mk4 toyota supra 2jzgte, etc. and i tried to scam A camaro owner to race hahaha, he did notice it was rwd b4 we could ever run.

once. I was in an arcade in Japan with quarters at a row of candy cabs going to each one and inserting a quarter wondering why they were getting rejected lol....I looked around and everyone was laughing at me. someone who looked like a Yakuza member ran me out and I woke up. I was playing Yakuza 3 at the time so I blame that lol

I've had several dreams before about a warehouse raid. It's actually based on a real event from a 2004 raid over in Kalamazoo. The funny thing is the warehouse would tend to get bigger, have more games, etc each time I had a dream. It was also run down like the actual warehouse was and it made it more of an adventure.

Then the guy that services my x-ray processor at my office showed up to cut some tree stumps out of my yard (no clue what that was all about).

That's the best part. One of the most entertaining sentences iveever read on here.

I had a dream a few days ago that I was emptying quarters from games at my store and one of them had this fake skull in the coin bucket that my daughter got at Disney world around 16 years ago.

the x-ray thing made me laugh too, and it was me that dreamed it...i have no idea why i dreamed that or what the heck it meant

I had a dream fairly recently that I got an email from a guy that I went to H.S. with that is on my Facebook friend's list. He says that he sees my posts about arcade games and wants to know if I'm interested in a big warehouse that he just stumbled across when picking up a load from an adjacent warehouse (he's a truck driver). I say sure and make arrangements to meet him there with the owner of the facility.

I get there and the place is full of awesome classics, all covered up in plastic like in Flynn's Arcade in the Tron Legacy movie. I'm talking to the owner and offer to buy the entire thing from him, building and all. We make a deal and he signs over the building and all contents to me. When walking through the warehouse after making the deal, I find amongst the 100+ games several Star Wars cockpits, a couple of EDOT's, and a Sundance. Of course, when I plug them in, they all work.

When I woke up, I had a smile on my face that wouldn't go away for a couple of hours... :D

I had a dream a short while back about running into a [non-existant] one-of-a-kind prototype Atari Assault cockpit.

And yes, for the record it was sweet. Looked like a Star Wars cockpit with Assault-style art LOL. :D
