This is one screwy dialogue, I will not name names, but what a effed up way to treat your customers..

Dear XXXXX,

I got package today.
wico buttons excellent, game excellent, thank you very much!!!
I want to buy XXXXX (ten dollar item I had missed minutes before)can you make me a deal?
Thanks!
really nice game -fun to play!

- me

response:

Dear XXXXX,

we can do $25 plus $18 shipping for XXXX this item was ended- if you like a bid for buy it now please let me know for re-listing item.

- amusement dealer

I figure, Okay, 25 was the buy it now price, but 9.99 was the opening bid.
I tell the seller, I will just bid instead.

Dear amusement dealer

do a relist, I would like to try a bid, thanks!

- me

He writes back:

Okay, go to bid.

- amusement dealer

Then I see that the opening bid is not 9.99 any more, its 25 bucks.

I write:

Dear amusement dealer,

I was going to bid at 9.99, then I got a phone call, missed my chance to bid, why the price more than doubled?

- me

He writes back:

demand on market price going up and down.

- amusement dealer

I write back:

Dear amusement dealer,

I don't understand.

- me

So lets recap, ten dollar item that ended while I was on the phone relisted for more than double - merely because I showed interest, I guess thats what "demand on market price"
means.

Here I had just complimented him on excellent service and package recieved and he wants to more than double his price.
Huh?
Way to treat your customers, wow.

I went from "hey, I really like this dealer, want to do more business with him.." to "screw this dude" in seconds.

No KLOVer would do this, thankfully. This is just typical Ebay bullcrap.

After that you should change your user ID to Cocktails needed ;^)

Bet it really got you frustrated I would be upset too.

Thanks........doesn't an item that ends with no bids mean that the market price should be LESS??

screwy reverse economics.

He lost a good customer that would have bought more.

I had an opposite experience with a dealer here on KLOV.

I indicated that maybe his product would perhaps not meet my needs and he kindly recommended others who might have something he did not have.

Later that day, I decided to just buy from him, because I liked his honesty.

Reminds me of an episode of Futurama...

Bender sells a flower for one price (forget how much, $10?) and then right away goes to sell a second for twice the price.

"Demand suddenly skyrocketed, YOU ALL SAW IT"

I did see an auction with a $30 BiN run its course TWICE before someone actually killed the BiN with a $25 bid... then it was bid up to $31...

Whats the part? If I have it I'll sell it to ya.. People suck, we all know that.
There are plenty of decent sellers out there..

voodoo economics

If I had just kept my big mouth shut, he would have relisted at the 9.99 price like normal, nobody would have bid, (again) and the board would be mine, but I thought I was dealing with a real human being here, so I asked a question. Jeez.
