The last few weeks have been filled with nothing but setbacks for me in my hobbies & projects.

  • Pulled out the pressure washer for the first time this year, found the manifold cracked on the pump
  • bought even MORE parts for a 22" LCD monitor I'm trying to fix - no go
  • reached into a cab to adjust a pot on a Nintendo 4 board DK, broke the pot
  • ordered parts to repair a wiring harness, wrong parts arrived from DigiKey
  • Ordered a REPLACEMENT 22" LCD, monitor STILL DOESN"T WORK
  • Pulled out a monitor to move a game, put it back in and now it has vertical adjustment issues that wont adjust out with the pot *Grrrrr*
  • Bought a 'non tested' pcb here, got a 'broken' pcb *sigh*
  • Recently finished Dig Dug cab is giving me problems
  • Bought a near impossible to find PP7-A power supply, and it's dead
  • recapped the G07 in my dad's missile command, and the fly blew in 4 days
  • finished servicing a 14" Sanyo monitor, bringing it back from the dead, only to find out that it's not running inverted video

And the list goes on. I need to offload some projects soon.

Hey think of it this way it can only get better. You know what they say when life hands you lemons spark a dubby!! Well at least that's what they said in the sixties:)

yeah I have had a couple of runs like that. The good news it you will have a couple of productive nights and forget all about it.

Sometimes, I feel like I advance on like 5 or 6 projects in a couple of nights or 1 day off and I forget all of the problems I was having.

hang in there buddy

It's all in your attitude.

  • This year, you're finally going to get that brand new pressure washer you've been needing!
[*]bought even MORE parts for a 22" LCD monitor I'm trying to fix - no go

You figured out 20 more parts that aren't broken on your LCD monitor. This thing is almost cimpletely rebuilt now, it's going to be the greatest LCD monitor around.

[*]reached into a cab to adjust a pot on a Nintendo 4 board DK, broke the pot

You discovered proactively that the pot on your Donkey Kong board was about to break. Good thing you caught that!
[*]ordered parts to repair a wiring harness, wrong parts arrived from DigiKey

You have extra parts laying around that one day you'll undoubtedly need.

[*]Ordered a REPLACEMENT 22" LCD, monitor STILL DOESN"T WORK
You have more parts to fix your broken 22" lcd screen with... you were able to find a complete monitor to rob parts from :)
[*]Pulled out a monitor to move a game, put it back in and now it has vertical adjustment issues that wont adjust out with the pot *Grrrrr*
You completely dissassembled the top of your arcade game, and now almost have it moved, and completely reassembled.
[*]Bought a 'non tested' pcb here, got a 'broken' pcb *sigh*
You bought a PCB and they shipped it to you, with it arriving in the condition they sent it in :)

[*]Recently finished Dig Dug cab is giving me problems
You recently finished your Dig Dug!
[*]Bought a near impossible to find PP7-A power supply, and it's dead
You found a near impossible to find PP7-A power supply
[*]recapped the G07 in my dad's missile command, and the fly blew in 4 days
You learned that you can't recap a G07 without replacing the fly. This knowledge alone is worth thousands of dollars.
[*]finished servicing a 14" Sanyo monitor, bringing it back from the dead, only to find out that it's not running inverted video

You fixed a Sanyo monitor, a near impossible feat.

The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times.

Please stay away from my Moon Patrol. LMAO
