I just did. A game haul today and I titghtened the straps up to much an busted my window out :( is this a common causality to anyone here for game hauling

Nope. I always put 2 2x4's at the bottom of my tail gate so the game rests on that insead of the glass above it.

Oh man - Did I do this! A friend loaned me his Williams Star Rider sit down. I put it in the truck (96 Toyota Tacoma) with the seat part touching the window. I put a 4" wide strap around it and started cranking it in the bed. Suddenly there was the sound of shattered glass! EEEK!

I put a piece of plexi in there for a while but it was terrible. I sold the truck like a month later with the plexi.

That was a BAAAD day. And truthfully, Star Rider was cool to look at, but it fell apart in playability. It did make it into Pins and Vids 2 though...

I broke out my parents van window years ago. Was moving a DDR cabinet, had the pads loaded last. Didn't move the entire trip, except when I came to a stop at a red light and the pad tipped back and smashed the window out. I still am not completely sure how it happened. We were at a complete stop when it tipped. It broke the window and then tipped forward again (towards the inside of the van) and never moved again the rest of the trip. I can only imagine what the car behind me was thinking when it happened!

My buddy bent the back wall of his truck bed and decided to pry with a shovel between the cab and bed to bend it back, the rear window went pop in a million pieces, but stayed in place.

I tried to stay positive and said, "at least it's still in place" which it was until just like in the cartoons, it all fell out when he slammed the door. At that point, I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe.

damn, that sux, My tundra rear window rolls down and had I not had it down one day an Asteroids deluxe would have done that and then some..

Heard of it, almost done it several times but never have.

I saw a game at an ops warehouse that was damn near broke in half..

Turns out it was strapped upright and there was a strap going oveer the game form side to side. The loose end of the strap came out and got under the tire. THis instantly pulled the strap muxch tighter and it destroyed the cabinet.

I'm in this club as well. Mine was from not strapping though. It was a Missile Command cockpit. Set it in the back of my truck and it felt pretty secure where it was sitting. Figured I wasn't going far and if I went slow it would be fine. The first stop sign it slid forward and sounded like a gunshot. Smashed out the rear window completely.

Strapping is recommended.

I usually have a topper on y truck for work but took it off to haul these games. I am going the ghettos rout and just cover it with white duct tape since you cannot see the back window when the topper is on

Yeah I've done it with a California Speed in my F-150. Blew out 2 of the 3 tiers on the window. I now dont transport without putting cardboard on my window first.

LOL, yes I'm a victim as well. It happened on the only arcade pick I had my brother help me with. Years ago I picked up a Tron arcade and i had a carpet kit in the back of my nissan truck so we slid it in the back and my brother pushed too hard. SNAP! One of my camper shell windows broke...that was the last time he helped me load an arcade LOL

Yep. I borrowed mt dad's truck. Some little toyota pickup. I was picking up a Virtua Fighter that I bought back from a friend that couldn't take it when he moved like 10 or 11 years ago. We got it out of the house and laid it on its back up against the bed. I said, "ok, now we just need to push it back." My friend gave a mighty push and the back window disintegrated. Its still the only game I've moved on its back that could actually touch the back window.

My dad was pissed and my wallet became $200 lighter.
