Was halfway done on this Escape From The Planet Of Robot Monsters conversion cabinet for my personal collection when I sourced a dedicated version. So went ahead and finished it and now it's ready to go.
The Good:
Started with a solid no damage Joust cabinet that had been converted already.
New laminate front and sides.
New T-molding
Coin door stripped and redone with new plastic bezels top and bottom and new plastic coin returns
Marquee and control panel overlay are NOS conversion art
Sideart and cardboard graphic monitor bezel is conversion repro art from TOG.
Marquee brackets were stripped and redone along with new marquee plexi.
New power supply
New isolation transformer
New super jamma harness
New buttons
New Hall effect jamma adapter for 8 way joysticks from Mark
Complete rebuilt Atari Logo Sticks with new pivot ball, plunger, and lower ball actuator. Also the ball top logo shafts themselves are new NOS ones from Arcade Fix It. Thanks Stephen!!!
New repro (metal) speaker grill. (goes across the top) This is the new repro that was made to replace the plastic ones that get brittle and break.
New monitor glass
New black plastic monitor shroud
New bulbs, new hardware, new wire ties and hangers, new locks.
The Bad:
Wells Gardner 4900 monitor, although capped does have Sinistar burn.
As I was able to source an NOS conversion kit control panel overlay, it did not come with the "jump, fire, and duck stickers for the action buttons. But…not to hard to figure out.
Game will be blanketed, wrapped in a cardboard shell and clear wrapped.
$1300
