I recently picked up several cocktail pins. I am planning on bringing the 2 named above to the Midwest Gaming Classic. I purchased an Allied Lesiure book which is generic for these. In order to bring these to the Midwest Gaming Clasic they need to be set to Free play. So short of me maxing out the credits, does anyone know how to set this up for free play?

(a) Set the replay score to something impossibly easy like 10,000

(b) Add a switch to the start button that will add a credit as the button is pressed to start game. (Bally style)

(c) Wire a pushbutton switch in parallel with a coin switch and tuck it in the coin return.

option A. Piece of cake.

option B. Could I just wire that in parallel with the coin switch, or do I need to replace the start button with a dpst push button, if they make such a thing.

option C. I will avoid because I will be selling these, and want to mod as little as possible.

(b) The start button usually has a leaf switch. Add a piece of fishpaper insulation and a second leaf switch to the stack. New switch is wired in parallel with the coin switch and is adjusted to close before the start switch. Push the button - one switch adds a credit and the other starts a game.

(c) A significant number of videogames at the last show I went to had pushbutton switches wrapped in tape tucked in the coin return. Push the button to add a credit then push the start button. The switch wasn't permanently mounted so it could easily be removed after the show as desired.
