I have a couple of windowed roms that need stickers. I have been using electric tape to cover them temporarily so I thought why not print my own. My plan is to measure the size of a standard eprom sticker then make a image in photoshope scaled to that size. Then use some inkjet sticker paper that I have sitting around that I can cut etc.

But anyways, I was wondering if anyone wanted to share what they use. Any templates? Any Tips?

I have a Brother P-touch label maker. Does a great job at labeling them, and you can fit quite a bit of info on the label using the computer software.

I'm always amazed at how many games I've seen with all intact, original labels. Are people reproducing these (e.g. with scans, typewriter, etc)? Or is there just a trick to easily getting them off cleanly? Just curious, I seem to rip mine if I look in their general direction.

As far as the original question, I tend to use whatever spare labels I have around the house (or just make a label from thick paper and PVA or other light adhesive).

I have old floppy disk labels (not the write protect ones mentioned above)... I cut them down for use.

I've also considered using the Brother label printers, as the standard tape size seems like it would work well for this purpose. I haven't taken the $20 plunge yet.

Edit: Like these... the P-Touch series... http://www.brother-usa.com/Ptouch/Ptouch_HandHeld/#.TrQ_WUOAo8k

Avery 5836 adhesive divider tabs. Close, but they still need to be trimmed down with scissors...

i've always just used masking tape. but realistically, you shouldn't have a problem unless the cabinet is missing the back door and the back is facing the sun.

Avery 8167 return address labels. They are the right width and you trim the length back depending on what size eprom your using.
