Hi Everyone,
I have a good pcb but its missing 3 EPROMs. As I'm reviewing the MAME file content I see 2 out of the 3 EPROM locations contain multiple files.
Q: Is it possible to burn multiple files at once to a single EPROM? Every other game I see 1 file = 1 EPROM.

Disclaimer: I am new to burning EPROMS for arcade pcb's, but I want to learn & gain experience.
I have done a lot of research but I've not seen this question or seen this come up in training videos.

The pcb is X-MEN 4 player (see screenshot)
EPROM Locations are...
10D (multiple files)
065jaa04.10d
065aaa04.10d
065ubb04.10d

10F (multiple files)
065jaa05.10f
065aaa04.10f
065ubb05.10f

06F (1 file)
065-a01.6f

Thank you for your insight.

Different romsets.
Only one per location needed.
JAA
AAA
uBB

Different regions, versions of game etc.

Just make sure you burn same set for all locations. Sometimes crossing the romsets causes problems or even causes a no-boot situation.

Run it through romident. It will tell you what set each file goes with. If it lists multiple romsets that means it's used in all listed (same file)

Thanks. I'll download it. For now I opened each in MAME and on the ROM check screen, it showed which version it is.
So I see AAA is the 2-player English/world version.
