EOI: Amplifone High Voltage Boards (Bare PCB) Suit Atari Colour Vectors Star Wars etc

First, how much is this in US dollars with shipping. Second, can anyone vouch for this guy. Don't mean to be rude, but I tend to be skittish when it comes to sending money to another country. I like to be able to drive to a guys house if stiffs me. And lets face it, Aussie is one hell of a commute. But if its on the up and up, I'd probably be down for one depending on the price.

I would spring for 2 boards. One question, any issues with using a Wintron HVT on these boards? I would assume a mounting hole could be drilled and the wires soldered to the proper equivalent pin locations.

OK, added to list

I have 2 types of new Flybacks for my own boards, 1 was from Chad at monitor boss. Is that the Wintron?

I will invesigate and make sure all is well before mass production starts

So you need to take a heat sink from an old HV board or make one ?

Yes, Although, maybe hit Takeman up, to see if he can make some

It is made from Aluminum I found

It depends on the exchange rate at the time. At this point of the time it will cost you 1.06 X more in US dollars.

Another thing, I do understand your concerns, so I will just remind you, I am not asking for the payment now.

Payment is asked for immediately prior to shipment, like on eBay. If the part is not received in 45 days, do a PP reversal. I will NOT ask for a "gift" payment, it will be "Goods"

I do understand your concerns. Currently I am looking into shipping higher quantities to the US so tracking is possible and viable.

Some members have offered already to do this

If it makes you feel any better, I am a business owner, have a look at any one of my picture links.

You will see all the links have DSB Electrical in front of them
IE: Have a look if you want
http://www.dsbelec.iinet.net.au

What else can I say. I have posted a lot on this forum, and have started this Amplifone site, over a period of time
http://www.dsbelec.iinet.net.au/amplifoneDB.htm

If any one is not satisfied, don't buy.

I will be fine with or without this, I am doing this as a service to you guys, it will probably take time I don't have a lot of.

I could of sold them for a lot more, but that's not my style.

I am funding either 50 or 100 boards and not asking for anything until they are ready, and will spend days writing up assembly guides and supplier links etc

People can decide for themselves

:)

Dez, Wintron/Penntran/Lexel (different manufactures same design) HVTs are the high quality black box HVTs initially used by Atari as replacements for the Red HVT failures and have been available most recently by Lexel Imaging http://www.lexelimaging.com/atari_power_supply.html. These are bolted to the card and uses wires rather then pins. See included pics. Think these will work on your card design?

I need another angle

Need to see CR3 please (Diode)

Dez, I am not home right now to take new pics of the card, but I was able to dig of some older pics of my other board that has a Penntran. I have three boards, two with black box HVTs -a Penntran & a Wintron, and one with Chad's HVT. Here are some picks of the Penntran board (same footprint as the previous pictured Wintron board). You can see CR3 and where the wires pass through to the backside.

I am pretty sure it will fit fine

:)

OK... I'll bite. I'll take 1 and, when the time comes, you can ship it with Ryan's (ballytablewiz). We can split the shipping.
;-)

Just finalizing the IDs on the parts side

This is the Gerber program I am using.
It places the part shape in too. I am hoping you guys like it better like (so the project will be ready on time)

By the way it's not complete or the correct color - getting there

Anyone wish to comment?

:)

Looks good so far, I assume there are more parts to add.

Interesting gerber program, did you have to draw up the parts or are they from a library in the program?

There are more parts
And there is a library to pick parts

Thanks for the feedback

By the way, the green is only on the solder side and may appear through the pcb
