This is my first post so I hope this helps. I bought a 1987 English Mark Dart Board. It has an add on for Cricket by Merit industries. I don't have a manual for it. The Cricket scoreboard doesn't work. I does flash some codes but I can't figure out how to fix it. When I open the back I noticed a little switch board with 8 little on off switches. I'm hoping that all it is is that. If anyone knows how to fix this.. that would be awesome. Thanks

Arachnid Cion Op vintage games are my passion. I spent much time searching for any documentation on the Merit Industries Cricket Darts add-on kit. I even have one such game that was not functioning. Spent many hours trying to get Cricket Darts add-on to work. I had power to the Merit Add-on and the LED Number Display did light. But still no joy. I finally replaced the upper marque back to original from parts on hand. I used the Merit Industries marquee as a back lit stand for a video game. I would be interested if there was a manual or any documents floating around. Sorry I could not be of any further help on this one.

Please let me know if you ever find a manual for that add on version. If I find one I'll let you know as well.

Is this a replacement board or just a ROM swap?
Either way, it can't be all that complex.

Post full pics of the CPU board and the display board.

Kind of a ROM swap - at least not directly to the PCB. I have attached a couple of pix from the game I had - I am guessing the kit came with; upper marquee (this has LCD board and such), add in small pcb with "Cricket" green button, another small Merit pcb with had socket for org ROM, x2 ribbon cable (from main pcb to new merit pcb and PS additional power supply which was mounted in upper marquee. Pop off ROM place ribbon cable end in to ROM socket, then put ROM on new Meritt PCB. But still no manual and never was able to get Merit Add on to work. One pix shows how this was in place when I picked up game. so ya, a lot going on here! thus the manual / schematic would be of great help.

Interesting... looks like a 8051 microcontroller on the display board doing direct drive on the 17-segment displays.
The SC39xx are prob some sort of decoder PALs.

Looks like you move the CPU to the daughterboard, not a ROM.
