hello ,I just purchased the dart machine, every thing works but the sound. The sound is really no big deal to me but I would like to repair it if possible.I checked the fuse ,which was blown and went to replace it with a new one.Well when I put the fuse in it blew right away and put off an odor of somthing hot.any advise would be great..thxs so much.I also have printed many manuals for this so I am ready to fix it.....

Possibly the bridge rectifier BR2 on the power supply board is bad.

More likely the 7815 voltage regulator (U22) on the gameboard is shorted. Or even the LM383T amplifier chip (U21) might be shorted. Check the speaker and it's harness & connectors for problems too.

Ahh!!! Just the person I was wishing would answer.I have read many of your post you seem well informed on the dart machines.....thxs so much Ken you are a true asset to the forum...hats off to you..I will look over the manuals that I have to see if this is somthing I could fix myself...what though could be wrong in the wires at the speaker that would make it blow the fuse ?...also I had the machine pluged in when I went to replace the fuse could that have made it blow right away?

The speaker wires sometimes can get smashed in the back door or against the metal power supply frame. I have seen a speaker itself go shorted once.

Never change a fuse with the machine plugged in.

The sound fuse is a three quarter amp slo-blo type.
