Troy, I think you have got more responses on this thread than any other one you have started. As far as overposting. If there is some sort of useable content in his posts, I think it is great. As far as the person in question, 75% or more of his posts are just a peanut gallery type thing. I agree with you. Read more of the existing threads and chime in with something useful or a question. Dont just post to post.

When I first joined, I probably posted 30-40 times a day. Mainly it was because I have technical experience that I used to help others.
Now my average is 'down" to 18.77 a day, and I often post only a couple times a day now, so that average is dropping.
Still, I sometimes only have about an hour a day to get on, so you'll suddenly see 10 threads in the monitor section (or elsewhere) get bumped to the top, all with the last responses from me. I'm sorry that I don't get to hang out here all day at work like some of you, which would allow me to post once or twice each hour.
I still find it interesting that when people talk about post-whores, they usually mention Frizz, Jow, and Phet, but rarely me.....

Your posts are helpful and not "entertaining to some, annoying to others".
And please don't anyone take offense to that quote, it's just all people are different and they have different opinions on what is entertaining and what is annoying.
BTW, I agree the ignore list function could use some improvement.

I think the whole thing is rather silly, if he thinks he has something to contribute to the thread then by all means. Just keep doing what your doing, don't leave the site or post less just because some of the members who think they run the place or are otherwise entitled to laying down rules don't like it. The truth of the matter is that they can't do anything about it other than complain, that or withhold any future arcade advice/help, but if that's what this site has come to, using knowledge as leverage, well.....
You don't need any fancy automated system to ignore someone, just skim past thier post and move on. Or does seeing a simple 'great job' post cause you that much physical anguish? With this kind of response any new members will likely just leave the site untill all that's left is a small elitist group. Maybe that's what some people want.

ON TOPIC: Endrein, you keep on posting, we're lucky a newer generation is interested in the classics. I doubt that my future retirement home is going to want 2 dozen cabinets in the rec room. That would be heaven though.
I know what you mean. Their are some people on this site that are really rude to me as well.
Just ignore them. It's nice to have more people in the world that share a love for the industry.

I guess I'm more of a lurker than anything, but when I was new to these boards (not that I'm old to them) I normally searched previous threads and occasionally posted a question. I think the posts are a bit excessive considering they lack any real content. Not a big deal, just kinda annoying that all you have seen for the past 2 weeks is this kids posts.

Allot of people post allot when they first get in the hobby and find this site, usually slows down as the excitement wears down some... So just leave him alone. I think his new program he wrote is great and that alone may have added more to this communtiy than 95 percent of the posts here including everyone of the posts in this thread.
