End Of Line Arcade Party - April 7th Official Announcement

Well, I realized I have't actually officially announced it yet... Party at my place! April 7th 11am - midnight. I know not all of you will be there that entire time, but it leaves it wide open for you guys to get there early and leave early or get there late and leave late. I have a fridge, coolers, ice, and a microwave so feel free to bring whatever food/drink/alcohol you want. I have a few raffles to do (thanks DJ_DNS for the idea), which I will announce at the party. Also have 2 or 3 games that will have score competitions going on throughout the day. Since this is still a month away, the game list is quickly growing as I am in a mad rush to fix as many games as possible, but frankly, if I didn't fix another thing, it would still be a kickass party. Those who are interested in coming, please DO NOT PM ME, instead email me at [email protected]. This allows me to organize this a million times better. Since this party is also at my warehouse, if you are looking for any parts for anything, let me know and I will see what I have, that way you can pickup at the party.

I will see about snapping some pictures of my gameroom/warehouse later today, but odds are I will forget. So to see a super-duper out of date video from last September (tons have changed) see this:

I think that covers everything, so with that, let me get back to fixing games.

To see the most up-to-date list of what is happening at the End Of Line Arcade, see: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=225836

I'll be there early and stay late. I know that wasn't listed as an option, but I think I can do that without an argument.

I'll let you guys know as soon as I have a for sure answer... definitely hope to make it.

i hope to make it, but i think i have other plans. i will have to check.

if i can make it i will help with repairs if you are doing that at your party.

I'm going to try to make it out. I'll keep you posted. Do you have a list of working pins?

As of right now in the arcade today is High Speed and Firepower, but I am going to shop out my Seven Up EM pinball shortly so that will be up, and I am going to bring my Revenge From Mars pinball to the party and my Independence Day. My Revenge From Mars is currently missing sound, and I hope to fix it before hand but either way it will be there. I have 2 other EM pinballs that I may get to before the party, but they both need a decent amount of work so don't plan on those.

Well, at this party I'm looking at the possibility of getting my console gaming area setup with my huge projection tv. Again, possibility, not a 100% sure thing yet, but my question to you is, classic gaming or 80's movies? If you prefer classic gaming let me know what consoles, if you prefer movies, let me know what movies. If you think neither, and I should get back to working on my arcade games, I have to say I probably won't be setting this area up anyways, rather one of my non-arcade inclined friends will be so :p

Cool! I haven't been updating the other thread with progress of the arcade, but daily updates were getting a little boring. Expect one heck of a Sunday night update! I've done a lot of work this week, and tomorrow is going to be a late night at the warehouse, and sunday is an all day event for me, and I'm getting a little help, so I will probably take a video Sunday before I leave of the updated "state of the warehouse" type of thing.

you pay for the gas and parts and i can come and help if you want. that way we can get more done.

make a weekend of it let me borrow the couch for a nite.

Peace

Had a few people offer to help out with getting ready for the party. This weekend is out for that, I'm just not quite ready for the help. I will try and line it up for next weekend, will offer out details for helping by the end of the weekend.

Hey Kacey, I'm hoping to make this one!

I've been off the grid way too long... I may bring a 49xx chassis that I'd love to have a tube transfer done to if somebody can help me with that. I have a donor TV but it needs a yoke swap too (per this thread)

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=189587

Any takers? I also have an ARII board or two that need help but I don't want to be greedy... ;)

I should be there, just need to get closer to the date to see whats going on for me. I'll bring a case of light bulbs lol.

BTW: Spunkmeyer, not offended, just correcting you, it's Casey :)

As for the tube swap, I'd say bring it, someone there should be able to do it. The biggest thing you have to have a straight yoke for a straight picture, relatively easy, and the hardest part is the convergence rings, but a test mode on my Stargate puts up a nice grid pattern so we should be able to handle it. If someone could bring an iso transformer, I stole my workbench one for a game.

I spent a lot of time working in the arcade friday and Sunday. Pretty much done the major cleanup of stuff, with the exception of the workbench. Worked on a few games, and are just over half way through a shop of my Seven Up pinball. Brought my handcart home to move my other 2 pins and my pitch and bat to the arcade, as well as the pachinko machine. Got my other slot machine moved to the arcade and in the move it magically fixed a few issues :) was a good weekend, and am waiting on some parts to get a few others up.
