I'm putting out a feeler here. This is NOT an official offer yet -- I'm still weighing my options, but I was curious if anyone in the NJ area might be interested in up to three free cabinets in Ocean Gate, NJ.
My three games were damaged by flooding during Hurricane Sandy. The cabinets sat in 6-12" of saltwater for some amount of time on the day of the storm, so they do have a small amount of damage. I have had too much on my plate trying to get my house back to an inhabitable state, and the cabinets are being neglected. They are now getting some fuzzy growth where they were wet. I simply don't have enough time or free space to work on these cabinets, so sadly, I may be making the decision to put them on the curb in the very near future. I am offering them here first to give any interested KLOVers a chance at grabbing them. (Sorry, no pictures are available.)
1. GALAGA dedicated upright. About 6" or so of minor swelling. Pretty good shape besides the swelling. Pretty good original sideart, decent original kickplate art. Some fuzzy growth accumulating.
2. ORCA/CONGORILLA generic cabinet. Wood grain sides, black vinyl front. May throw in a control panel or two. About 6" of minor swelling, and some funky fuzz. Very similar to a Sega/Gremlin cabinet, except without the curve on the front edge.
3. SEGA/GREMLIN Frogger-style cabinet. Wood grain adhesive vinyl on sides, black vinyl front. Not a whole lot of swelling, but some fuzzy growth. (If I decide to keep only one of them, this is probably the one that I'd hang onto.)
If you're interested, let me know. They're really not THAT badly damaged, but I need to make a decision here because I don't really want moldy things festering in my house while I line up my contractors. Time is of the essence -- we have a crane-equipped garbage truck rolling through town picking up trash, so I have to discard them, now's the time that I have to do it. Please let me know if you're interested. If it comes down to D-day where I have to dump them, I will let you know so you can come get them.
