EMP-20 burner needs a power adapter. Will this replacement work?

EMP-20 burner needs a power adapter. Will this replacement work?

Here are two pictures. Do you think picture#2 will work as a replacement for picture#1? This one really has me worried. I don't want to blow up this damn thing. Thanks in advance for any of your time.

Welcome. In theory it _might_ work but I'm not sure what electronics are inside of the EM-20 that do the conversion from AC to DC. Also 12VDC may not be enough to put in as 12VAC will yield something like 16V in DC and not sure what regulators are further upstream.

The lines on the 2nd one (=) indicate it's DC if you see something like this ~ it's AC. Also, an AC output adapter never has a + or - indication.

Bottom line is it is better and safer to watch for another one. You need 12VAC output and 3000mA output.
