Both sides make an annoying buzzing sound when held in. Flippers completely rebuilt... new coil stops, plungers with links, nylon coil sleeves, flipper bushings, EOS switches, etc. -- still noisy. What's up with that?

New EOS switches and coil stops are good - but make sure the EOS switches are properly adjusted - make very sure they're actually opening when the flipper is energized (prop up the playfield and verify both).

Otherwise, very common to have some buzz/hum. I've been able to reduce it (with otherwise known-good/fresh parts) by making sure the coils are snug in their holders; a loose coil with wiggle room contributes to more vibration/noise in my experience..

Yeah, all is as it should be, but still noise. I have even placed a "wave washer" on the end of the coil to maintain pressure & keep the coils tight in the holder but it is still noisey. Guess I will just live with it, but I find it odd that the flippers are whisper quiet when held on my both of my Bally machines.
I do love all of the other classic mechanical pinball noises on the old EM though.... sounds like REAL pinball. I suppose that I need to come up with a DMD machine to have all three eras... then I guess I would really need a woodrail with the stubby flippers & an ancient flipperless pin too....

Just curious is your machine set on high tap on the transformer? If so this sends a little more juice to the flippers and will give you a little more buzz.
