My Elevator Action works pretty well except some of the bad guys look like they are cut in half, sometimes when the doors open they look like they are split in two. Sometimes the main guy's head looks like it comes up off of his body or bobs like a chicken. Just weird graphic glitches.

The sound will also pick up interference and loud rumblings at times. The pots are good and I swapped out the sound chips but it didn't do anything.

I've reseated the eproms on the top small board and the middle board and found a bent leg on the eprom but I fixed it and it changed nothing.

I have this Elevator Action running through a jamma harness with the classic Taito adapter and running off a switching PS.

I'll try to get a vid up but has anyone seen this behavior before? Could this be the 6116 chips?

Yes I have seen this exact fault, have some photos up somewhere I think, in my case it was a single bad 6116. On one board there are 6 in a column, the bad one for me was the one at the top of the column by the boards northern edge.

I would also check your 5v line on all three boards, low voltage can cause a lot of odd effects too. Are you injecting power on both the upper and lower pcb edge connectors? ie on boards 1 and 3 in the stack?

I just have the single edge connector feeding the first board and have bumped up the voltage but it didn't change. That middle board is hard to get to for measuring.

For feeding the middle board 5v, do I just run a line from the switcher to a 5v test point?

I will start looking at the 6116 chips. Thanks for the help.

Don't try to get power to the middle board! Add power to the edge connecter on the 3rd board like the original harness did.

What I did was add wiring long enough that I could open up the boardset on my test bench and still connect that connecter on the 3rd board (connecter T, AFAIR).

I guess i will look for a pinout somewhere for the second edge connector and try to make a connector for that. Thanks for the help. Any other help is much appreciated.
