I went over to my buddies house to take a look at his EE.

It was working and now it is not.

I look around, check fuses, check connections, etc. All is good.

I pull the power board (because I cannot tell where I should be testing voltages)
I look at the bottom, and where there is a bride rectifier (I think that's what it is) It is fried and blackened.

Anyway, I jump a couple wires to try to get the connection going again, no luck.

I did notice when I turned the game back on though, that 3 led's were lit, but the one indicating +5v was not.

It is nothing but a white screen, for the record, and it was working a week ago. He said he thinks he smelled something burning.
Anyway, do you guys think it's a power board issue? And I suppose I should just get the arcadeshop switching power supply upgrade huh?

Love some opinions

no, I don't have one on hand.

Radio Shack carries them. I'd start by replacing fried parts, and checking voltages. Start at one end of the circuit and work your way through (i.e., start from the transformer, and check that it's getting to the power supply board, and to the rectifier, through the rectifier, etc). Usually when those bridge rectifiers fry they blow fuses, suprised this one didn't. Perhaps someone put the wrong fuse in? Or maybe it burned out the board trace, or it's solder connection?
