Elevator Action PCB Repairs

I need to test it again, but best I remember it's set to free play and I started the game. Once it started most of the graphics were missing.

test power, ram, and roms. After that it's follow the graphics schematics.

I had a similar problem on one of the three I fixed.
I am not sure if I started a thread on that or not.

Ignore, I always get Crazy Climber and EA mixed up for some reason.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. By the way, does EA, Jungle Hunt, Front Line all use the same board? I saw a conversion manual for each and it appeared that you just swap out some ROMS and make a few other changes. If that's true, I guess a Front Line harness would work for both games? Is any of this correct or am I way off base, lol?

EA/JH/JK are the same boards...different ROMs. Also EA has two buttons, while the others have one. Not sure about FrontLine since it has the rotary control.

Great to know, didn't realize that. Seems like I've looked at the Front Line harness and it appeared to lineup with JH and EA. It would just have the extra connections for the spinner like you said.

Thanks, great to know! I guess in theory you can convert any of these boards to different games with the correct ROM sets? I assume my Front Line harness should work for Jungle Hunt and Elevator Action since it is wired for all the same controls...right?

Some games have a 5th encryption board.

Seems like the EA board has a daughter board connected by a ribbon cable that looks like it possibly mounted at the side (kind of like Ms Pac-man). Is that the encryption board?
