Well kind of. Ok, so this is my first pinball, got it a couple of weeks ago. Just finished the MPU corrosion repair. It wasn't corroded to bad but the game was not working. So I got the kit from Great Plains and replaced everything. Being that this was my first board level repair, it took me several days. I made some mistakes and learned a whole lot. Intitially it didn't work. I went from 2 flashes on the LED to the stuck one one. Oh no, I screwed it up worse than it was before I thought. After breaking out the MM and going over everything again, I found a couple of bad joints. Got them fixed up and now have lights and sounds. Woo Hoo!
Now on to figure out why only 2 solenoids passed the self test, and 2 stuck switches one the test. I can't wait to get this game playing. I guess I can go ahead and get it good and cleaned up now as well. I was waiting to install the ruber rings and give the playfield a good cleaning until I knew there was a point in case I couldn't get it working.
