Picked up an Asteroids cocktail with an Electrohome monitor. The previous owner got it non-working and said there was bad transistors on the deflection board. He removed a lot of parts from the board. I placed a WTB thread for a new board but no luck so far.

I've downloaded a repair manual for it. I'm a good solderer but as far as identifying and getting replacement parts and doing chip troubleshooting, I'm a newbie. Anyone know of additional information online or can help?

First order a rebuild kit from Bob Roberts for your G05-801 or 802, which ever one you have. From there download the manual and replace any missing parts not included in Bob's kit. Those monitors almost ALWAYS have a bunch of cold solder joints so while waiting for the parts go over them with a magnifying glass and fix the bad solder.
