Electrohome GO7 CBO problem

Chassis Re-Capped, New Flyback installed, also installed new monitor adjustment pots. Was able to get the monitor back up again but now I am having this problem where the monitor periodically shakes. Video posted of the issue. Any Suggestions??

(C303 Cap Mod was done during the Re-cap)

I assume but did you change out you HOT to a new one with the install of a new fly?

Also check the small metal dials that are in about two inches and near the fuse. ones a Hor freq pot and the other is B+ the Hor pot might be bad.

Yep, I put the new HOT in, I have a new B+ pot on order from Bob Roberts right now! That was going to be my next step! I am also going to put a new width coil in too when it comes.
 
you can check the connections between the pcb and the monitor making sure everything is tight. also try reflowing the solder on the header pins where the sync is connected to the monitor.

I've seen them go bad and do something similar. I would just by the whole Bob Roberts "G07 pot kit" and replace them all and be done with it....
Could be a lose connection where the sync wire connects to the chassis, or a bad/cold solder joint there too??
 
Already replaced all of the pots except the B+ pot. That is next!

Huh? I don't think that would be a B+ pot issue? I would reflow those solder joints where the sync wire plugs in. Also make sure that plug has a good connection.....
 
yup diddo on that go over the bottom of the chassis and re-flow to any and all suspect solder joints.

ALso if that isn't it let it run for a day and see if anything changes then you might be able to track it down better.
 
That video shows that you're momentarily losing horizontal sync.

Low signal levels, cracked joints on pin headers, loose pins in connectors, flaky potentiometers. All of these could cause that. The width coil could have a bad connection too.
Here's something to try- With the video still connected, remove the sync connector (or pull the sync pins from the connector). Then use the horizontal frequency pot to dial in the oscillator as close as you can to get a stable image. I don't expect you to be able to get it to lock in- that's the job of the sync circuit.

Then plug the sync pins back in. See if it's more stable then.
 
Have a Width Coil on order. Should be able to get that replaced on Wednesday. I was thinking that might be the issue.
 
Dont forget to make sure that your sync signal isn't broken farther upstream. I have a weak harness on one of my games, and if I jostle the pcb edge connector, I lose sync.

Make sure everything at the edge connector is nice and secure...
