I read somewhere once that the G07s are prone to blowing flybacks.
Some how I haven't really dealt with alot of them but over a year ago I had one with a blown flyback and HO transistor, so I swapped them and if I remember correctly did the typical cap job. The monitor lasted a couple of months and then blew the flyback again.
I meant to look into it but just never did.
Now a month ago, I had another G07 that appeared dead but it had high voltage.
Bassically I replaced a couple of caps that had bad shrink back (I shoulda done 'em all but it was a rush job). The tube appeared to be bad, so I used the tube from the one that blew its flyback last year.
anyway this monitor lasted less than a week before blowing its flyback.
maybe it had something to do with that tube? Is there a typical known problem?
I'm wondering if maybe its due to a bad power cap that wouldn't typically be changed during a cap job.
any ideas would be great. Thanks and sorry for the long winded thread.
