What a great resource this place is.

I have an Enduro Racer game that finally works and a couple of days later the monitor went dead. Its a 19" Electrohome G07 CB0, i guess it is a replacement cause it has some burn to the far right side, looks like an old centipede score going the wrong way. While playing the game the screen looked great, good color, lines up right.

Thanks to search I figured out which monitor i have, what i should do to fix it and where to get the parts, Bob Roberts right?

Is this worth fixing or should i look for something else? any things to look out for? a better model or a killer deal

Otherwise if its worth it, i am down with fixing it I just need someone in the Baltimore Maryland area to do the fixing it for me, I lack the skills or tools for that work, I will gladly finish pulling it and deliver to someone with or without parts.

If no takers is there a pro in town that does this kind of work?

You can do the work with some inexpensive soldering equipment from Radio Shack, but if you don't feel like tackling it this time, contact forum member Peale- he usually will take on chassis work.

Check out the sticky thread on monitor repair in the monitor section if you haven't already. Also, make sure you know how to discharge a monitor- we want to keep you alive!

Thanks for all the help guys, looks like everyone is having G07 problems now. The F-ed Up monitor of the day I guess.

picked up the Money Order for bob on the way home, that sticky thread is great! it gave me the confidence to get this far figure i might as well go all the way, with help.

Learning how to do things usually ends up costing me money but i may try. The discharge and unbolting unpluging dont bother me, its the soldering and or un soldering, well hurting something while soldering. I think I get things too hot.

BTW If i can ever help anybody out, I am a decent wrench with great resources and am well versed in Site/Dirt/Pipe work.

I will have to learn how to work on this stuff sooner or later, so got my G07 Deluxe kit from Bob Roberts, read multiple threads on this and will cautiously attempt repair. First to learn/practice the desoldering tool on something trash first, then I'll go for it.

going to swing by radio shack on way home for desoldering tool thing, I will also get the good solder that's mentioned.

Is there anything else i should get at radio shack for this project or general repair work?

I have little to no electronic tools beside a solding iron, a meter, and I have plenty hand tools (screwdrivers, plyers, wire strippers ,ect.)

Thanks for the props, mate. I can usually turn around a G07 fairly quickly, depending on what's wrong with it.

I've never got parts off Bob cause of the money order deal. This is a good place I'd just buy the get well kit. Does it power on at all?

I use the Bill Pay feature of my online banking. Set up Bob as a biller, enter the amount, click and it sends him a check. Takes less than one minute and I don't have to even mail anything.

yes I forgot and props to Bob Roberts, perfect kit for a wannabe like me, everything listed, got the map and the directions from his site.

I had forgot i ordered with him before, like 7 years ago, he remembered and had already sent my order out before he even recievied my payment which came two days later.

Radio shack says they dont have the B+ adjustment tool, I should of brought the stock# with me, they dont speak english very well.

They are saying it is discontinued, guess i will pick one up tomorrow at graingers or someplace
