My monitor has vertical collapse. Per someones suggestion, I changed out the transistors on the chasis frame. I'm no monitor guy so this seemed logical. Prior to the transistor replacement, the monitor would display a solid line through the center of the monitor (horizontal line). Now, it blows the large fuse on the chasis immediately.

Any ideas?

if you replaced the VR and HOT there should be a insulator underneath it. also the 2 prongs sticking thru the frame that connect to some wires cannot be touching the frame, make sure you did not put it in backwards.

for vert collapse i would be looking at the 2 transistors on the heat sink in the middle of the chassis.

reviews bob's post above, very helpful.

Could also be the flyback. The G07 manual lists the flyback as a possible cause of collapse too. You should replace it while you have the chassis out and working on it anyway.

Okay. Thanks. It's possible I did reverse them. I will check that when I get home. Thanks very much for the help. I will post findings later.

Okay. You guys are awesome! Yes. I did indeed flip one of the transistors and it was shorting on the edge of the chasis. I corrected that problem and was back to my starting point. The monitor fired back up but had a single horizontal line.

I pulled the chasis back out and replaced the flyback with a new one.

Here's where the new problem started...

Now, one of the two 2Amp slow blow fuses on the power supply board keeps blowing. I replaced it twice and figured I should stop at that point. I removed the chasis and checked my soldering. Everything seems fine. I'm so frustrated.
