if it wast 350 roughly to get it here so would i

The shipping thing wasn't a factor for me. I have a buddy that lives semi-close to the area so he would've been able to hold it for me till I got down there...

A that time I still didn't think it would've hit that $500+ plateau.... Oh well guess I have to wait another 10 years for another one to surface! I do hope the buyer was from the states here though.....

I think it easily would of if it had a monitor and a "working" boardset....

Sucks though....If the job was more steady I would've matched that bid!

the boardset should not have been an issue as you could rob a qix to fix it... More than likely it was power supply, battery, connector issues..

There is a reason only 2 of them are in klov.. If your a tatio collector, your probably not going to get another shot..

I didn't know those boardsets were interchangable as well.....

Honestly, I'm not sold on the Vaps thing being the definitive "be all end all" list for the # of games there. Case in point was the gentleman on here who found the flooded Kram down south. I do agree with you though Mr.bill thats is definitely rare but I hope you're wrong saying this is the only one I'll see for sale in this lifetime....:(

I was just wondering....are yall wanting this game cause its rare, or cause you have actually played it and liked it. Im not being a smart a$$, just wondering why you may want to have this in your collection.

When you collect something, there is something to be said for having a complete set. To find the rare and unknown. For example, at one point, I was after grabbing every cinematronics vector game I could get.. I did a pretty good job getting all of them except for war of the worlds and demon. Evetually I let go of that idea and sold off warrior, cosmic chasm, and barrier(I still plan to sell the boxing bugs and taligunner II ).. But going down that road led me to find a game I really liked that I did not play in the arcades, solar quest..

Now, I have played electric yoyo at cax, and the game kind of blows.. But for a taito collector who may have never played the game, I can see the draw to owning it.. But the only taito from that family I want is zoo keeper. Space dungeon and qix are cool, but not worth the hassle to keep working..

For me I always loved the Taito games albeit it is second to Atari. I think Taito was at their zenith around this era as their games go! Jungle King, Qix Front Line, Elevator Action, Zookeeper, et al. That's a pretty good line-up of heavy hitters....

I started with wanting to own just the Taito "spinner" games-there the ones I remember playing the most especially Front Line. I started thinking that it's a lot more realistic of getting all these games than Atari ones(price being a major factor!)

Now to EYY- I actually do like the gameplay BUT as far as the rare games go I like Space Dungeon, Kram then EYY. I don't count Pirate Pete because of being a prototype....

So it was a combination of that I do like the game as well as a completionist... From this auction it seems other people feel the same way..

Edit: I found out the game did stay in the states here....

I was just wondering. I can see where yall are comming from on wanting to complete things. Its just like how I collect the cabarets but I now am to the point I only collect the cabarets that will get played. Ive owned some others in the past but sold them off cause they just never got played.

I've read about that Taito multigame board that was made, but if was a multiboard with ALL of the classic Taito games on it, I'd build a cabinet just to house it. I guess that's what MAME is for?..

Mame will suffice for some things like gameplay but to me it's much more. For instance I like the different color combos of these cabs. Yo Yo which used the yellow and black is a cool as hell. Factor that in with a cool bezel and marquee and you catch the drift...

I agree though if you're crunched for space, Mame is a good alternative.....
