EGA - VGA Converter (one of those GBS 2200 thingies..) question..

Hey guys -
Got one to test out game output, and was wondering if I mis-wired the sync, or my el-cheapo board is bad. Not talking about the colors - that's fixed easily by setting the proper clip values; I'm referring to the broken-up image, cut into pieces. :D

Try 1K resistor in line with the composite sync. I had to
do this to an APB to get the pic stable.

Thanks for the tip.
No go, unfortunately. Put in 1k, and didn't seem to change the output at all. I then thought that I was maybe using the wrong plug - I had my wires going into the .100 header, not the larger (CGA?) one. So, swapped them over, and still same.

The only thing I hadn't tried yet was bumping input voltage up to 12v - I'm giving it 5 at the moment. Could giving it more power/voltage help? :)

Past that, it's "get another in case this one is just bad", or wait for one of those OSSCs..

Bummer. The 1K resistor is how I got it working
on a Paperboy.

How about that other post around here somewhere
about changing the vertical position settings to get the
board working on Midway boards ?
