I was supposed to have a hip replacement also but I have taken it fairly easy since I was 25. Now 40 and although it gets a bit tender I am fine. Can still run etc.

BTW, we got the decals you sent to Vegas for us. Thanks heaps!

I was sick over a week ago, now I have Bronchitics! I haven't been able to do much, and have a hard time breathing. Never had Bronchitics before. Sucks being 36, can't image what it is like to be 70.

Yeah I know what you mean...I had it a few years ago...was just sitting on the couch at one point, and was breathing like I'd just finished running a marathon. At that point, I didn't know what it was, so I made an appointment and saw the doctor right away.

I was born with a degenerative disc disease called Spondylolisthesis. I've had 5 back surgeries, 4 of them fusions. Im going to have my second anterior-posterior lumbar fusion. This is my first back surgery in 16 years and Ive had great success with it. My fitness level has been maintained at a high level all these years, that is until last September.

Ive worked with a team of surgeons who are also professors at Northwestern (surgery will be at Evanston Hospital). They believe the spine not only needs this, but may give me some relief in the hip since they are intertwined. Wont cure the pathology of my hip, but might buy me some time, which would be awesome for me after spending so much time in and out of hospitals these past 12 months. I should be out in 4-5 days. I told them 2

hope you feel better soon, i am in misery daily with my back too. 3 bulging discs and 2 have tears in them. I just got another 300 count prescription of vicodin, only way i can make it through the day.

Darin, Sorry to hear this. Hope everything goes well. I have had 3 Shoulder surgeries in the last 4 years. Go for another MRI in a few weeks. Looks like another surgery might be coming

Anyway hope it all goes well, and that you have a speedy recovery
