Effective immediately all Phoenix Arcade orders delayed

I've been in and out of the hospital since September for a wide variety of injuries related to triathlon over-training. I guess I need to come to terms that Im not 18 anymore and stop working out 7 days a week whenever I return to being healthy again. I did have a personal goal of doing a 4:30 mile but the best I got was 4:44 and killed my body trying to achieve it. This 43 yr old body just quit on me. Its not life or death, but I tell ya it was scary for me. Thankfully I've got some great doctors at Northwestern in Chicago who also handle the Bears and Cubs.

The slow season just started so I wont be pissing too many people off. I hope you understand even though I brought this upon myself.

I typically ship same or next business day. Until further notice many orders will be delayed 1-3 days. If you're concerned about the timeliness please email me privately or call me 219-663-3999 and I will see if I can step it up. My wife will be assisting with orders now too.

For those I was planning to meet up with at CaExtreme its highly unlikely I will be able to make it. There's always next year.

Thanks again

Really sorry to hear Darin

I hope you are feeling better real soon !

LTG :)

Darin
Hope you get to feeling better. You have some if not the best stuff out there so a couple extra days aren't that big of deal.
Tony

Darin,
Sorry to hear that happened man, but good to know you'll be back to full health in relatively short order. Damn...i'm pushing 42 so not far behind ya....but i doubt I could do 1 mile let alone a triathalon! Sounds like ya might consider sticking with Track n Field for the short term ;) Get well soon!

Tom

Get well soon! Even though you didn't hit that 4:30 time,4:44 is still an awesome time. If you asked a 100 people on the street if they could run a 4:44 mile, you'd be lucky if any of them said yes. So you have nothing to be bummed about when it comes to that time.

4:44 ! Holy crap! Thats fast!!!! My best mile is like 8:30. Hehe. I don't go for speed, though. I usually run between 4-6 miles a day.

Anyway, get better soon!

Get better soon, Darin. Hope all goes well. By the way 4:44? Damn, that's fast, brotha.

I'm 45 and have seen a noticeable decrease is physical abilities since turning 40...

I'm 6'1" and "use" to be able to dunk a basketball ( ...in my twenties... ) ,
... now I can barely hit the bottom of the net
(... so that's about a 24-26" loss in vertical jump ... )

I "use" to run 5:30 mile easily, now 8 min is the norm...

I "use" to play Ultimate Frisbee for 3-day week-end tournaments ( 10+ games ),
party every night until 3:00am and not even feel tired the next day at work

Now I play ONE "hard" game and I'm sore for 3 days...

Sucks to get old I tell 'ya

... but I take comfort in seeing my 3 boys growing stronger ever year
and will soon beat me at just about everything ... except Robotron !

;-)

Get well...

Cheers,
Steph

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone. Got my 2nd opinion done at Northwestern from one of the leading hip docs in the world, Dr. Stulberg. Says its true I need a hip replacement and my other hip is starting to degenerate, although I feel nothing. Gonna postpone this crap as long as I can.

Most orders shipping on time. A few here and there only one day behind. Call if you need something expedited and I will do my best to accomodate.

Man, glad you're getting better... and I just have to tell you, you have GOT to watch this week's episode of "Parks and Recreation".

Rob Lowe plays a city manager on the show, and his character is obsessed with health, etc. Well this week, he finds out that he has tendonitis. So he goes around the whole show saying he's dying, crying and things, lol.

He asks the Doctor what he can do to feel better, and the Doc says "Get a time machine, go back to when you were twenty"...

LOL

It's all good Darin, your body may be aging but we're all right behind you.

Get well
