EDOT PCB Bench Testing Question

If all I want to do is power it up and see video, am I correct in assuming I only have to hook power up to J1 and video output to J2? I'm not worried about sounds, controls, flashing lights, etc....
 
yes and no. Most likely, you'll need to put +5 to the vbatt pin, and you'll need to have the reset line grounded initially, then switch it to +5 to remove the cpu from reset state. (the reset line needs to be current limited by a 1000-1200 ohm resistor as well).

I knew about the reset and the vbatt. I just wanted to make sure that those two connectors were all I needed...
