Hi, does anyone have any experience on removing the monitor from an EDOT? It's a WG4900, ideally I only need to get the chassis out, has anyone managed to do just this? If not what's the procedure for getting the whole unit out? Getting it out through the front looks difficult, but then so does getting out the back without removing most of the other parts!

Any help much appreciated!

You have to take a million things apart from the back to get to the actual tube. I took one apart so I could clean everything, as well as replacing some of the black lights.

BUT - you should be able to remove the chassis from the back without even taken the entire tube out. If you've ever removed a 4900 chassis before, you should know what needs to be disconnected (neckboard, DAG wire to the neckboard, yoke connector, degauss connector, video input connector, power connector) and how to unbolt the chassis (two 1/4"-drive bolts on each side) and the chassis will pull out. If you have little experience, you may find it awkward to get it back in, but if you reconnect the connectors before you bolt it back in, and use a magnetic driver when putting the bolts back in, it's not THAT difficult....
