Ok so I am working on my EDOT and I am starting to look at finishing the inside so here is the question. What color carpet was attached to inside back panel?

grey, salt and pepper.

EDIT (just ripped up my carpet and its purple alright)

Then there must have been some differences because mine I would probably describe as grey salt and pepper.

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, it does have a purple tint to it, but it is a salt and pepper burber that I wouldn't exactly describe as dark purple.

out of the 3 edots I have dissembled there is part of that carpet that gets Stapled underneath where the sun and black light cant fade it. I saved this for color matching or to redye it . Will try and pull out a sample to show you guys I have yet to find a edot where the
purple does not fade to grey yet

ok found the edot carpet and will bring it with me to mjenison so he can have a look at it

I found the same thing on the carpet I just removed. The piece underneath the metal is definitely purple. I special-ordered some commercial loop carpet from Shaw which I found to be the best match (style: utopian, color: violet). It was really spendy, but hey, that's what this hobby is about, isn't it? It's supposed to be in soon, and I'll post a photo when it comes in. Theoretically, there should be enough for three machines, and I would sell off some if you guys are interested.

Count me in for a slice, i'm building an EDOT from scratch (well mostly)

My carpet came it, and I'm super excited about the color. In the photo below, the new carpet is on the bottom, and original carpet is on top. The swatch shows both faded and unfaded original carpet. The curly scrap is from an unfaded portion of the original CPO.

The unfaded portion of the original carpet looked a little grey, and didn't really match any other color on the game. I think that the color may have changed over time, even in the absence of light, so I was trying to hit somewhere between the original unfaded carpet and the CPO scrap. I think this color nails it!

Here's a side view, showing the similar height.

Man, I can't wait to get this on there!

That looks really good! Can't wait to see it on the game!

If you have extra extras please let me know.. or, if you have enough requests for extras, maybe you can hook us up as a group with the purveyors of carpeting?

I got the carpet installed today, and it looks pretty sharp! It's surprisingly hard to take a photo of, however. Here's one:

I tried a wide-angle shot to get the CP in there too.

There did turn out to be enough carpet for three machines, and luckily I didn't screw up my piece! I'm sending out PMs for the extra pieces now.
