Finally got the sound interface error cleared up (broken trace fixed).
Now I'm getting an A10 error on start up. Lemme give a little history.
I originally worked on the board a few weeks ago. Apparently, when I did... I put A10 in upside down. Yeah.. I know, I know. It ran like that for a few weeks before I got around to looking at it again. When I did, I noticed the EPROM. I removed it, programmed a new one (2532 like the others) and put it in.
When I got the trace fixed that was causing the interface error, it started with the A10 error. I've pulled an reverified that chip about a dozen times... it's good. It's the loc-d file from the "dotrone" MAME dump, same that the others are from (pulled and ran them through RomIdent).
Since A10 was in upside down for so long, what are the odds that it burned up something related to JUST A10? ... and what would that be? I checked the 245 next to it with a logic probe and everything is pulsing like you'd expect. I even replaced the RAM and the Z80 just in case... still no joy. I've checked the A10 socket and it's good, I don't see any more broken traces, and I've reflowed everything on that side of the board.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
