The edge connectors used in arcade games... what pin spacing do they use?

.100? .156?

For example, the Tempest/Pac Man/Pole Position, etc...

Where can I get PCB mount ones (not crimp)?

If he wants the pitch that is typically used for arcade card edge connectors then it is definitely 3.96mm/.156 pitch. I've bought several of them for making harnesses. For example, for a JAMMA connector, you would order this from Molex:

3.96mm (.156") Pitch KK® Crimp Housing, Edge Card Connector, Double-Sided, Surface Mount, 56 Circuits

Along with some series 4366 crimp terminals.

Or, one of these if you prefer the pre-assembled solder tail variety to Molex:

3.96mm (.156") Pitch Card Edge Connector :-
- 2x28 PIN (56 Total Pins) -
- Wire soldering tail type -
Connector coloring: BLUE

PCB mount? Do you mean header pins? Molex? What are you trying to replace?

Cool, works for me.

The Atari Tempest edge connector is .156 and the exact mouser replacment is 538-08-50-0116. But that is a crimp style connection. I bought the 4366 style and they didn't fit in the original housing.

I want something like this:

But that I can mount on a PCB. For a project I am working on. I want to be ble to plug one board, into another...

He's got other too, you'll have to look at his auctions.

Those are close, but they are the solder eyelet. they are Card to wire. I need card to card.

You can put the eyelets of one over the eyelets of the other and make the connector you are looking for with a little soldering. These fit pretty well into one another. I have two at home and can post a pic of what I'm talking about if you need one.

I've got a couple hundred 12/24, 18/36, 22/44, and 28/56 solder tail .156" edge connectors, and about 500 25/50 .1"

They don't sell cheap in small qty.

Thanks. That's exactly what I want...

That would not quite do what I want. I want on end soldered on a board, the other to plug onto the board...

I know exactly what your looking for, and I can post a picture tonight if you still can't locate any. I purchased them from www.allelectronics.com many years back and they no longer have them now.

I only have a couple for myself or I would offer to sell you a few.

I'm going to buy some of the molex ones that use crimp terminals for a Jamma connector. What is the appropriate crimping tools to use with that?

Thanks!
