Why does it suck so bad for games now?
Why do I have to sort through pages of crap like photocopies of manuals, and little light bulbs, etc. I mean who buys this crap, especially on ebay?
Lastly,
Why is everything buy it now, now?

1: SOMEONE needs every part. It makes it tedious, but you can do what I do- search the "Machines" subcategory only.

2: Buy it Now is popular because they think they can get more for it. "A bird in the hand" and all that. In the end, someone might pay 40 bucks for a new Pac Man CPO if they can have a guarantee of owning it, and they probably wouldn't pay that much STARTING BID on an item... but since a lot of parts/machines are unpopular, starting a machine at 99c with no reserve and getting one bid means you're screwed. And reserves suck, so many of us don't even buy from auctions with a reserve price (it's all just a ploy to make it look like it costs less, when really, you would have to commit to an insanely above market price for an item)... in the end, Buy it Now is a good option, and Best Offer makes eBay a veritable CraigsList. If you would be happiest with 900 for a game, make that your BIN, and if nobody is willing to pay that and would rather risk being out-offered you can surf through the offers until one comes around you're willing to go with. I miss the days of auctions where you could be the only interested one in an area interested and win a working machine for 50 bucks... but in a world where 90% of auctions have a reserve price, usually around 2000 bucks for a broken conversion, BIN/BO is the best alternative.

Anoying

Arcade cards and arcade toys annoy me. You can eliminate them by using the advanced search. The search for "Arcade" use to pull up 4000-9000 results. Now that general search is up to 30.000 plus.

I usually search for "arcade machine","full size arcade game",or "upright arcade". Doing that really narrows it down to just the good stuff.
If you're looking for cocktail games,I use "cocktail arcade" and "cocktail machine". Try those and see if they help.

Just a warning, that often limits one too much. A good 20% of the cocktail machines I see are called "sit down" or "tabletop" on their pages, and then there's the crowd that misspells it "cokctail" or "cocktial"...

Here's what I do for maximum results.

I got to:
http://collectibles.shop.ebay.com/Machines-/20269/i.html?_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282

To open the ideal search results. From there, you see everything that is classified specifically as an arcade machine. You can also click on the sidebar to narrow it down to "video" or "non-video". From here go down to distance and input a good number (I usually keep it around 150, as the system is borked and that brings up stuff a good 250 miles away)... that should lower it down to mostly good stuff, and it's your safest option. I've done searches for "Ms Pac Man" only to find the best deal on a machine nearby labeled as "Mrs. Packman", and this method is the only way to get around common human stupidity. And trust me, eBay is FULL of it. :D

"arcade -xbox" will narrow that down a little bit, unless you're already searching by section. The "arcade" model xbox has made rss feeds of "arcade" for cragislist a sort through a lot of xbox units with only the occasional actual arcade machine.
