EBAY: Used 19" WG Monitors (not mine)

I had to get ugly. After seeing the guy pulled this shit before with a different account I sent the guy a note that essentially said... "We collectors have been discussing this situation and it's come to light CARL (aka Garage Sale Finds) that this isn't the first time this has happened and I am not about to put up with this shit. You have 24 hours to refund me $40 which is more than fair IMHO or I will be reporting you to ebay, hitting you with a neg, and filing a paypal dispute for the $40. Also note that I paid for this monitor with my credit card via paypal so if I don't get satisfaction from paypal I'll dispute the full amount with my credit card. Thank you."

Low an behold...

what is klov i have sent refund since the vendor did not want to refund anything but i have because i think what they have done is wrong. i did not see any of these monitors i listed them as they said and this is what the send please bear with me in this situation i am dealing with them on this but as you can see i have refunded the amount you wanted you can see that it is pending in paypal.

Whatever... after all is said and done $80 shipped for what i got is acceptable... too bad I wasted as much time as I did hoping for a "slightly burned" monitor. Time to go find another.

Everyone else needs to do the same. Shut down this scammer. He will keep scamming unless someone posts feedback on these monitors. Im glad he refunded what you asked for, but if you want to protect others Feedback should be left warning others!!!
 
The refund is still pending. Since he refunded my dough I'll not neg him... but I will give him a neutral with a quick explanation as to why.
 
He just said his pay pal account was shut down when I filed the dispute, how did he refund you. Hmmmm
He is shipping me two tubes 10 pin not 8 but I have other working burned monitors I can put them in, hopefully the yokes are the same. Save the chassis for some tv tubes.

Well I explained to him what KLOV was. I'd love for him to join and drop by the thread. I'd like to hear what he has to say about JCARDADE's input as well as Pmichelsens...

Just be honest in your listings and this kind of crap doesn't happen. "Moderate burn" would have been all it took.

Exactly. A more representative picture would have also been nice. Frizz, the monitor you got isn't half bad, I've got monitors in games that are worse than that. But, on the other side of the coin, I'd be mighty ticked if I paid good money for a monitor with "light burn" and it looked like that.

At least you got some money back - let's hope it goes through and that the guy really is on the up and up - but it does smell of a bait and switch to me.

Honesty is all we ask for in sellers (although punctuation is always nice) - it seems a shame when things like this pop up. I guess dishonest sellers think they're making more money by playing their games - but it sure seems like a lot more work than just being upfront...

The guy is clearly a scammer and had no/has no intention of being honest. I didn't even tell the first half of my story. I got one good one and a damaged one only AFTER receiving two with screen burn/scratches which I returned. As I mentioned earlier, his listing this summer didn't mention anything about screen burn, but I sent him a question through ebay asking him to confirm no burn and no scratches. See his response for yourself as well as the pics of the two "burn free/scratch free monitors". :rolleyes:

I consider myself lucky that I came out of this all with one burn free monitor and the rest of my money back.

Well I've had it with this, he needs to come clean and take care of bussiness or I will dispute and negative feedback right away.. I sent a warning email stating just that.

Out of all the monitors people have posted pics of, mine looks like its the worst of them by a lot, while the chassis might be good the tube is absolute junk.

I tried it in my roadblasters and you can see it really bad even with the tinted glass.
