eBay: Star Wars Chair!!!

Well, at least it's down to the $495 starting price again.

I'm feeling too lazy to update my "official" thread, though...

It just ended tonight with a $495 starting but no bids and relisted almost immediately. As long as this has been kicking around and as many of a thread it has started you would think he would lower the price already. I bet if he would get his head out of the clouds after the notoriety it has gotten he would get $200 easy. That is still too much but it is now a thing of legend.

You would think that but the BIN price was $495.00 before krackerjack supposedly bought it. After that deal fell thru for shipping reasons he listed it for $695.00 BIN. Really?

We should all chip in and buy it, then donate it to the International Arcade Museum Library!

Well there's a good way to be sure nobody ever sees it again.

It's getting old... people telling me that Huie is at the pettiness again. I don't know if just about the Sundance (which if you recall was made working and showed up at the SC3 show a few weeks later), or something else, or a combination of things, but you never seem to miss an opportunity (both publicly and apparently privately) to take a cheap shot at me, this site, or anything or anyone remotely associated with same?

I think there are some donations that might be beyond the scope of the Library. Maybe the chair belongs on a raised platform at CAX where someone can sit on it and hold court.

Yeah you are right. I'll lay off. For the record...it wasn't about you getting the Sundance...it was about you not bringing it to CAX.

And I love this site. I think you and all of your help do a great job overall. I never bash this place.

Maybe you could take it to CAX and set it up like a photo booth?

I thought more about this and I really feel the need to respond. It's in a thread where maybe only twelve people will see it and fewer will care about this but here goes anyway.

What you said there is just not true. If you can show me an example of where I have bashed this site or anyone associated with it (either publicly or privately) then I will apologize for that publicly. I simply don't do it.

The one exception is that I am fairly open with people about what happened between you and I. Yeah I should probably just drop it and for the most part I have. But when the topic comes up I'll talk about it. If you don't want people griping and moaning about the way you do business then don't do business in a way that causes them to gripe and moan.

Now the one other thing I can think of that you might be referring to is the fact that I've mentioned that I don't donate to the "museum". It's not that I have a problem with the "museum". It's just that it's not something I choose to put my money toward. I hope it is successful and some day opens up and becomes a grand affair that people can enjoy for years to come. I wish you the best of luck with it. And I encourage anyone who wants to see it happen to contribute if they have the spare change.

Now if you had a category that I could donate to that simply supported this web site then I would be happy to contribute. That's something that I use a lot obviously and I do appreciate the effort and energy that goes into it. I also recognize that you contribute a lot of your own time and money to keep it going and I give you kudos for that as well.

Now...continue on with the chair thread....
