Wondering if anyone has ever dealt with this person.

I guess I could ahve put this in the concerned deals possibly going bad.

I bought two "Used HAPP recoil guns" from him on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260661911317&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

What I received were two SFX recoil guns that looked like they were used as a dog's chew toy. In addition the solenoids were rusted inside of them rendering the recoil function dead. One of the wiring harnesses was missing its plug as well. I had emailed him prior haggling on the best offer thing and he even stated that the non recoil HAPP guns are 64.90 each, and that these were the recoil HAPP guns and were just a little dirty and needed some windex.

I contacted him let him know hey you mislisted these they are sfx recoil guns not HAPP guns. I offerred to ship them back to him for a full refund. He asked me to ship them back.

Now after doing that and two emails I get nothing back from him. No refund, and the guns are on the way back to him.

I was wondering if anyone else has had dealings with him, and how it went. I am hoping I am being paranoid here, but I have this gut feeling I am about to take a screwing.

Did you get some kind of tracking on the package back to him? Because I don't think it's reasonable for him to issue the refund before he gets the guns back. I sure wouldn't refund someone's money before I had the returned product in hand. And in fact, in the cases where I've returned things to the seller, they didn't issue credit until the items were back to them.

If you don't have tracking, then you might, indeed, be in for a screwing. Did you pay via PayPal? Because if you can prove he got the return, and he doesn't pay up, you can open a case and to some degree force the issue. In fact, it takes a bit, but if he simply ignores you when you open the case with Ebay it will eventually get decided in your favor.

I am not expecting a refund until he receives the guns, more so expecting some kind of reply from him. I did get tracking on it I sent it UPS.

Inm the course of making the deal emails were responded to within hours if not minutes. After he received payment it took 4 days to ship. It took 3 days to get a response when I said hey these aren't the right guns. And now have no response since the last email.

He was quick with the emails to get my money in other words.

I'm probably being paranoid was just hoping someone here dealt with him and had a positive experience.

What do you want him to say?
If I were a seller and someone asked for a refund I would respond, "Absolutely no problem. Sorry this wasn't what you expected."
After that there would be zero communication from me. Once I received the items I would then refund the money within a days time frame. I wouldn;t respond telling the person the money has been Paypal'd back. That's your duty to check and eBay rules give both seller and buyer a time frame to complete such transactions. At this point there is little motivation/reason for the seller to go above and beyond he's already done.

I think you're expecting a little too much. Relax - he doesn't even have the merchandise in hand yet so there's zero reason to start being frantic.
