Normally I don't bother with these types of complaints because ebay sucks anyway ...so whats the point...but I guess I'm just tired of being the nice guy...

I'm trying to get a game done for a co-worker and need a particular part to finish it off...so i see the part I need for a buy it now listed on 11/23/09...Great don't have to wait and it will get here sooner as opposed to waiting for end of auction that could last a few days or week...so I pay the extra to get it right away through buy it now....I send two different emails a few days apart when over a week goes by and nothing.....finally get a reply that it was sent and is on the way..now I explain in email I'm aware the part was purchased three days before Thanksgiving so I'm willing to give it extra day or two due to that fact...but the tracking I finally get shows the thing was taken to post office today..Saturday Dec. 5.....13 days after I paid for it...WTF..now I'll be waiting until next week and I'm out of town and won't get the game done on time....

I'm sick and tired of fucking ebayers who sell shit but can't find time to ship..if your life is that busy then say your going to take two weeks to ship and I'll fucking move on to next auction..Best is charging me for priority after taking 13 days..like getting it in two days or three matters at this point..
That is all!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Negative feedback is waist of time...and not something I typically do...I've left negative feedback for one person in 10 years on ebay..and this was someone who had their account suspended anyway so they had many issues with many buyers in addition to me....

Feeling "whole" what is that some kind of psychological issue that some people have...I feel fine...its the other people that are assholes..don't you know that.:D

I always here that word on People's Court. I watch too much TV.

If you don't leave a negative, how the hell are the rest of us supposed to know this guy is an idiot who can't ship? I do use Ebay quite a bit (in spite of the suck), and I check feedback before I buy (I'm fond of http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs for getting to the meat of the feedback).

Please, call these guys out when they don't ship. It helps. At the least, it will keep another one of us from being surprised by this noodles-for-brains seller.

No offense, and I feel your pain, but didn't we just have a big long thread supporting Game Girl and how eBay policies state that the seller has 30 days to ship?

I know it sucks that you didn't get the part on time, and it sucks that the seller said he had shipped it and hadn't (not defending those actions at all), but still..

Now, if the auction explicitly listed "will ship within X days" or whatever, then my point is much less valid. Either way, your situation sucks and I empathize.

Oh snap! (Didn't think of that one...)

Without seeing the auction page it's hard to pass judgement but just for the fun of it I will. If the auction said they ship next day after payment is received then leave a negative. If it didn't then stop crying.

If you piaid for Priority it shouldn't have taken them almost 2 weeks to ship. -nless a death in the family or a car accident/hospital vist that is un acceptable. The only times I droped the ball was when I took to long to get a quote for shipping to Canada and the guy finally said forget it. And when a customer send a surpriose check for tokens and I have to order and get them ready. Still have the TRS-80 (From my childhood) and games boxed up.

Doesn't matter

I disagree with the statement that if you PAID priority that it should be dropped off sooner. That has nothing to do with it. Ebay's policy does stated that the seller has 30 days to ship. Now, that doesn't mean they SHOULD wait that long, and I agree with others here that a seller should ship WAY before 30 days, but that IS the policy you agree too when you sign up for Ebay.
I ALWAYS list how long it will take me to "typically" ship an item. Most of the time I post "5-7 business days AFTER payment has cleared..." There is NO WAY I will send an item until payment has cleared! And I don't mean "cleared" Paypal. I mean "cleared" MY bank account. In other words, I don't ship until your payment shows up in my bank account. I learned my lesson when I lost $1780 two years ago from a shady ebay person who had good feedback. He made payment via paypal and I shipped BEFORE the funds hit my bank account. I shipped priority and he actually received the item BEFORE his payment hit my bank account. The credit card used was stolen and after 9 months of fighting with Ebay and Paypal they said there wasn't enough "evidence" to support my claim and I should take it up with my bank...WTF?
Anyway, that's not the point I know...but when you purchase from Ebay you are at the mercy of the seller..you don't like the terms than don't use Ebay.
I have been an ebay member since it went live and love it. I have found many items that I otherwise would NEVER have been able to purchase. It serves its purpose. I know its not perfect, and needs to do a better job of policeing itself, but it gets the job done. And, 98% of Ebay members are good, honest people who are just trying to sell something they don't want and you might need.
Ebay "bashing" is like ANYTHING else out there that doesn't satisfy our immediate need to "get what we want right now". I think it is funny though how people say "I hate ebay..." but STILL use Ebay. If you went to a resturaunt that had really bad food and service, and hated it, you would never return. So, why say "I hate ebay" but keep using it?? I know the answer, but I am just sayin'...
Plus, Ebay's GREAT for the people who "hate" it when THEY are the Seller, isn't it...??

Sorry for the rant, and the Seller should have had better communication explaining the problem with getting the package down to the post office, but you can't hate something that "worked" within the policies and procedures agreed too when you signed up!

Just my opinion of course...and probably not worth much! ;-0

I have to agree with the statement that if the auction mentioned some sort of timeline for shipping and he broke it... neg him. If it didn't... you're ass-out. Perhaps it may be of benefit to neutral his ass and explain it took 2 weeks for him to drop the item off at the post office which, in your opinion, is much too long for a Buy It Now item?

Ebay sucks. We all know it. It's no secret. You basically have to deal with the shit when you decide to go the ebay route.

There is a difference between a chargeback(+return costs) and a negative.

I think that Gamegirl would have gladly taken an negative on that one.

Keeping within Ebay Policies is also different than Best Practices. If you have a negative experience, leave negative feedback.

If anyone sits on my shit for 8 days, then they deserve a Negative... Maybe if they keep me updated, I will be nice.

Good points all around...except the 30 day bullshit..I realize that is ebay policy..but that is more in place so that when a complaint is being filed the seller still has time to ship something to avoid ebay actually having to do anything about it ...which they they usually don't anyway....anyone on there that thinks shipping stuff almost 30 days after auction..assuming you have received payment is a moron and poor business person..give me a break!

Should you take the max amout of time to pay seller if your able to pay right away...I don't... I figure they get their cash and I should get what I purchased......well some people are glad to take..but when it comes time for them to help you out and ship right away or within time frame that list in auction...forget it..like its been said..EBAY Sucks so you deal with it...

FYI...buyer states he ships out three business days after payment received and cleared. My payment cleared immediately on 11/23/09....The item was shipped 13 days after payment...so negative feedback he shall receive.

As far as the comment about priority shipping...What is the point of paying more to have it shipped faster if you aren't going to send it right away anyway...at that point ship it the cheapest method and have it take another week... Just saying!

If this guy ships something that isn't as described then you will see his information and the auction I speak of. I won't screw someone over too much over the shipping but it does piss me off...if item ships as described then I'll take it with grain of salt and never do business with that particular person..if someone wants his info privately I'll be happy to PM them the info.

Like I said..

Like I said...if a seller says they will ship within a certain time frame then the should definately STICK with that time frame. If they can't they need to explain to the buyer why there is a delay. I had to explain to a buyer once about a family emergency that came up the day after the auction completed. I wasn't able to ship the item for almost 3 weeks. BUT, I kept in constant contact with the buyer and even offered to ship for FREE because of the delay...so, I guess it depends on the type of person the Seller is...I try to treat people I sell to the same way I like to be treated as a buyer...so, I have had very little problems with Ebay...
You might think it sucks, but all of us have benefited from its exsistence at LEAST once...especially when it comes to arcade parts. I know without Ebay I would never have found many of the laserdisc game items I needed.
But, again, just my feelings!

Go have a beer and play a game of pac then call me in the morning. If that doesnt help I will get you a specialist.

Speaking of Pac, I found something for the professor pacs that we have been looking for a very long time. No, its not the rams.

dislike and disagree.
Nobody who shops on ebay thinks it will take 30 days to ship.

Dislike and disagree all you want, but it's the policy. Am I saying it's ok if the seller takes 30 days to ship? No. Does eBay say it's ok? Yep.

I guess my point is.. KLOV was all up in arms over that tilly guy (who was acting unreasonable and basically trying to get a game for free) and saying "Ebay says you have 30 days to ship!" and now KLOV is getting up in arms over some guy taking too long to ship (but still within the 30 days). We can't have it both ways, people. That's my only point.

Tilly (or whatever his name was) was wrong. The seller in this case is wrong, as well, if he mentioned in the auction that he'd ship within 3 days of payment. No arguments from me there.

I almost feel like blocking all these guys if they give a neg. for a slightly delayed shipping time. :D Man, wtf. One thing is for sure. Don't buy crap on ebay that you need the next day for a project because you sure as hell won't get it the next day or two or whatever. I have had people message me that they need it within a day or whatever. I have a life too and could give a flying you know what if you need it in x amount of time. Of course I will try my best but man is that a turn off. If you needed it now then why not find an operator close to you that has it on hand and don't buy from me and then make demands. But that's what you get on ebay. Demands and low ball offers to end your auctions.
If I felt like the shipping really took too long from a seller I might give the guy less than 5 stars on shipping time but a neg on the whole deal because you can't finish your project on time??? Why is that the sellers problem??? As a seller I could care less about something like that. I usually am able to ship pretty fast but sometimes I can't get to the P.O. for a week because of holidays or whatever and this thanks giving was one of those times. I'm calling impatience shenanigans on this one. :D
